"Mel I can't borrow your outfit,it's your outfit."i began to protest,"please:you're my friend,you're going on a date,and I care about you."she said.she walked around me,"wow,you look better in this outfit than me.i think you're missing on thing,"she took off my hair tie."much better!"she said happily,"wait,hold on."she then took off my glasses."um Mel?"i said,"yeah?"she said."can I please have my glasses back?i can't see."I asked nicely,"oh shoot I'm sorry,here."she said.she handed me back my glasses,I put them back on."I'm really blind without these."i reminded her,we then heard a knock on the door.Mel squealed,"you got this!"she said.

I exhaled,I walked to the front door and opened it."Woah,you look great!"Ted immediately complimented me,I blushed."T-Thanks Ted."i stuttered,I closed the front door."So,w-where are we going?"I asked,"Well I was thinking,which I usually don't do,we could go to the beach!"he said.i gasped,"I love the beach!"i said."me too!"he said,he led me to the band van.when we arrived at the beach we took off our shoes and walked along the ocean,I blushed as I held onto Ted's arm.Ted noticed and blushed,"the ocean looks so calm tonight."i said."oh yeah,it is."he said,we stopped walking.

"you know,I really like you Sarah Lynn."he said,I blushed."I like you too Ted."i said,I got on my tippy toes as his face got closer to mine.he cupped my cheeks and kissed me,I closed my eyes and kissed back."Woah..."we both whispered,my face was probably so red."that...was most triumphant."he said,"yeah...it was."i said.i looked down,then I looked back at Ted."can we do it again?"I asked,"of course."he said with a grin.

I smiled as we kissed again,it was so magical.when we got back to my house I'll admit,I didn't want to go home yet."I don't want this night to end."I admitted to Ted,he held my hands."I know,but we can continue this in my morning."he said,"promise?"I asked.he gently kissed me,our noses touched."promise."he whispered,I smiled I got out of the van.when I opened the front door I saw my parents sitting on the couch,watching tv.i gulped,"shit,just be very quiet and careful."I thought as I tip toed to my room.when I entered my room I gently closed the door,I leaned against the door and exhaled.
