CHAPTER 12

Anika could feel the tensed vibe between them but the sudden emittance of dark aura surrounding them kept her away from getting involved. Karan suddenly got a call which broke their trance and lead him to go back to work. He went off not before glaring at Shivaye and also apologising to Anika because he had to leave abruptly.

Shivaye took Anika to his mansion.
Anika : Why are we here ?
Shivaye : I had some work.
Anika ( confused ) : What work ?

Shivaye pinned Anika against the wall making her gasp. He pressed his whole body onto hers in a way that they ended up too close that they could even hear each other's rapid heartbeats.

Shivaye : What's so different about him ?
Anika ( shocked ) : Who ?
Shivaye : Don't act innocent. Why don't you give up on him and have me instead? I can do a lot of things that he can't.
Anika ( totally confused ) : What is this about ? I can't make a head or tail out of your words.
Shivaye : I'm sure you don't want to meet a man's other side especially when the adrenaline kicks in. I know you're a nice person. I just don't want you to end up bad.
Anika : What do you mean ?
Shivaye : Become mine and I'll show you.

Anika was a bit nervous by Shivaye's behaviour. Also , she couldn't comprehend his words which were confusing her. She had never seen him like this before and wasn't used to him being like this.

Anika : You're…. you're scaring me , Shivaye. Please don't be like this.

Shivaye noticed the glint of tears in Anika's eyes and immediately backed off.

Shivaye ( in mind ) : Damn ! What did I do ? She is scared because of me.

He hugged Anika and caressed her back slowly.
Shivaye : I'm sorry. I went too far with my acts.

Anika did nothing other than hugging him tightly as if her world depended on it. Shivaye could feel her tears seep through his shirt. He felt so guilty for not being able to control his temper. They stayed in the hug for a while before they broke it.

Shivaye looked into Anika's eyes and felt an adrenaline rush in his body. His heart beats increased and he could feel the tingling sensations in his body. Anika was stunned too. Her brain couldn't process anything as it had stopped working. Her eyes were set on Shivaye's eyes. The world had stopped for both of them. Shivaye leaned towards her for a kiss while Anika closed her eyes and let him take control. Shivaye's face was few inches away from Anika's lips. He was about to kiss her but he suddenly backed off. Anika felt him so she opened her eyes.

Shivaye : I am sorry. I should have asked for your permission. I won't be intimate…

Before he could say any further, Anika pulled him by his shirt for a long deeper kiss. She placed one of her hand on his shoulder while the other one went behind his neck. He encircled his arms around her waist protectively. They were so lost in the kiss that they didn't notice Anurag creeping up on them from behind. Anurag coughed to get their attention which brought the two lovebirds back to reality.

Anurag ( dramatically ) : Oh my god ! My poor innocent eyes have been stained by your love session.

Shivaye ( in mind ) : This devil ruined my moment.

Anika felt shy and blushed while looking down.
Shivaye : Why are you here ?
Anurag : We have some guests at home and it's a surprise.
