Lend me your time dear children, if you would allow, and permit me to tell you the tale of Watashi wa tayodesu. Watashi wa tayodesu, which roughly translates to "I am the Sun" was a small town in the middle of japan (fictional.) This town was founded during the Grand War of Strife. Not to be confused with the Grand War of Lucifel and the Grand War of the Clouds. During this war, The small town of Watashi wa Tayodesu (as it was then known,) was obliterated. Later, during the same decade, It was rebuilt.
The year after it's reconstruction, the town of Watashi wa Tayodesu was ransacked. Yet once more in that same year, the town was rebuilt. The thieves returned in one month to see that the town had been reconstructed. New buildings were added and the economy in the town was better than before, as it had been so with the first downfall of the town. The thieves were angered by this, and plotted their next return. And in the season of winter, when the conditions were harsh and it was nigh impossible to rebuild, the thieves returned and ransacked the town. This time burning buildings and shattering the statues of the original founder.
The people of Watashi wa Tayodesu were distraught, yet decided that despite the winter inconveniences, they would rebuild the town again. They hired people from all over the continent to help in it's reconstruction. New buildings were built. The statues of the original founder were recrafted, but because the sculptor had several years of practice, The statues were recrafted with finer detail and were made with stronger stone. A church to the gods was built and a new trade economy was set, this time trading scraps of silk for goods as opposed to gold shillings or tuppins.
The thieves returned once more to see the town rebuilt, and seeing that their efforts only benefited the town, they turned themselves in. But the judge said to them, "Your deeds have done us a great service. We will not prosecute you. But we will banish you from entering the town again. Leave. And only return when your mortal body passes."
The thieves were forced to leave the town of Watashi wa Tayodesu. And before anymore building was to continue, the town's name was changed to 私は生き残った "Watashi wa ikinokotta." which translates to "I survived."
My dear children. I urge you to strive to be like the town of Watashi wa Tayodesu. For each time you are discouraged, or beaten down, or feel like you can never rebuild yourself. Know that you will be redone. Know that you will rebuild. And you will return to yourself better than in the past. For you are my children.
