Anastasia drove like a maniac down the street, trying to hurry to their location. James wasn't doing so hot. He hadn't woken up since drinking Nik's blood, but he wasn't dying either. Anastasia said he wouldn't get better or worse unless they got him a special magic ointment made from a rare flower. Nothing was ever easy in this town Diana thought as she sat in the passengers seat.
Kai was in the back twiddling his thumbs as Diana held onto the bar above her window. "Mind slowing down there Ana?" She asked.
"Oh I'm sorry, would you like James to be asleep forever with his hallucinations?" She asked in an angry sarcastic tone.
"We— no."
"Sorry, James has me so freaking worried. I don't know how to handle him not waking up." She exhaled.
Diana grabbed her hand that was wrapped tightly on the steering wheel. "He's going to be okay, I refuse to let him sleep on his lazy butt forever."
Anastasia chuckled and felt better. Kai admired Diana's way of handling emotions and not freaking out for Anastasia's sake. In her head, she was an anxious mess. Kai could feel it.
"What are we getting again?" He asked.
"It's called a red camellia flower. One of the rarest in the world."
"Of course."
"We have to enchant the flower with a difficult spell that I can barely do and then crush it up to rub on James' disgusting bite. Normal Thursday."
"It's Tuesday Ana."
"Wait.." she thought for a second.
"How are we getting this flower?" Kai interrupted.
"We are going to an underground garden that only a few witches know about. A girl there owes me a favor, she'll be helping us with the spell." Anastasia explained.
"Well this will be a fun day."
They drove for about three more hours, saving time because of Anastasia's reckless driving, and arrived at their destination. Kai laughed as Diana slammed the door on her side.
"Say "are we there yet?" one more time, and I gut you." She threatened.
"That's what every person in the backseat is supposed to say." He laughed
"Next time you sit in the trunk."
"I called shotgun." He put his hands up in defense.
She narrowed her eyes at him before looking around. "Uh, Ana? Where are we?" They were led into the forrest by Anastasia. There wasn't a building in sight, and no sign of something underground.
