Sometimes I imagine what life would be like as one of them. The favorables are the reason we aren't consumed by darkness they might even be why we aren't all dead or living in the shadows. This place didn't always need them to protect us until someone started something they couldn't finish. No one ever thought demons existed besides what we were taught to be afraid of as children. A group of men who wanted nothing more than power formed a cult that would bring them the power to control demons and put the world in chaos making them the strongest beings to exist.
Black magic comes at a cost that they did not understand. It transformed them into what they sought to control. Unable to control themselves the demon inside of them consumed every last bit of them letting a free for all for any nasty spirits to go ham on anyone or anything they wanted.
Out of darkness there's always a light and that's where the favorables come in. The 10 of them born blessed with abilities that no other could possess. All born separate years from different parents. Every single one of them possessing different abilities but yet all a big part in ending the war between humans and demons.The superior of all of them they call the sinister he posses the power to use demon shadow magic to his advantage to take away your sight and make you deaf. He can make you feel pain or pleasure just by a touch of his finger. His name is Xavier knight the soon to be king of the Mag.
Over the years only 8 more of the favorables have surfaced making them the most elite and powerful of the lands. Benedict sterling has the power to understand your feelings with out you saying a word. He can turn anything or anyone he touches invisible with the snap of a finger. If that wasn't enough his smile was just enough to make any girl fall for him. After him surfaced Ashton sterling shes not someone you wanna have on your bad side with the power to manipulate fire and smoke. Raven Ramierz could fly and shoot lasers out of her eyes.
Than a mother gave birth to twins Ivy and Romeo Goodman. Ivy could manipulate nature and the weather. Her brother Romeo could heal and shape shift. The most odd part about them all was most of these children were born of high class but not Ajax Walker he was born into middle class in the Mag his abilities including super speed and enhanced combat nobody could beat him in a fight. Ajax was a real one for the people because he wasn't always apart of the high society.
Candace Rosenbloom was your typical bitch before she was even born. The type of girl that made you feel like you were nothing. Her beauty was something out of a movie. She could replicate herself and had enhanced flexibility. As if one of her wasn't already enough. Bellamy Biden was a bit of a nobody yet still had a fortune he could manipulate water and wind. Being one of them was like winning the lottery not that most of them didn't already own half of Mag.
The tenth favorable is still to be found everybody praying that on their child's 17th birthday they posed something more special than being able to ride a damn bike like my dad said when my brother turned 17 and was still picking his nose and barely contributing to this family. Noah isn't the smartest kid in the room but I still love him. Blood runs thicker than water that's what i live by working my ass off everyday for no other cause than survival. Living just before the light of the mag ends and the demons live hasn't been easy it's not something you can be born ready for. But all that was about to change for me because me Scarlett Rose Steele was going to win the lottery.
