Special vampire or Valuable to life?

Chapter one

"Sarena Mclauren, first year, Dorm room number 375, rooming with Alaya Parkinson." The dorm adviser practically shouted in the main hall of the school. My new school, the school was called Winter Green Boarding School. A school only for vampires, there are two types of vampires there are born ones like me, and however there are made ones. In the Vampire world every vampire has a talent or two, but the born vampires are rare, they hold valuable skills that any made vampire would dream of having. It is known that made vampires go crazy, they kill the born vampires just so they obtain more powers. This happens rarely though because our Council takes control and monitors every vampires background. So if you were a made vampire and happened to kill a born vamp for more power, the Council would get to you and kill you before you could kill another vampire.

While walking through the halls thinking about this, the topic in my head decided to change. The topic of my internal conversation was about my parents. It wasn't my fault I was here it was my parents, they hated me from the beginning. They hated me only because they wanted to have two boys before they had a girl. I knew my older brother Seth would be here at this school. Seth is exactly two years older than me, our younger brother Bryan was three years younger than me, and five years younger than Seth.

I kept mumbling on and on in my head, just waiting for someone to finally talk to me. Then all of a sudden as if I wished for it, I bumped into this really hot guy. The collision sent me falling onto my butt and it made him stagger back a couple steps.

"Are you okay?" he asked walking over to me and helping me get up off of the ground.

"Yeah, How 'bout you?" I replied with another question.

"Yeah, my name is Kylor Hunt, What's yours?" we just seemed to keep asking each other questions.

"I'm Sarena Mclauren, I'm a first year." I said looking away from him embarrassed that I told this really hot guy that I was new.

"Oh wow. I'm a third year. So which dorm are you living in?" he kept talking to me, surprising me because I didn't know if he was talking to me because I am pretty or just the fact that I'm new.

"375..." I said to him looking shyly now.

"You're rooming with Alaya that's cool, she's my best friend's girl. Perhaps you know him, his name is Seth." he said looking at me and smiling.

'So my brother had a girlfriend?' I quickly thought to myself.

"Well...He's my brother so yeah I know him." I said looking at him and frowning.

"Really? He never mentioned he had a sister...That's weird, why would he not mention you, you're beautiful." he said looking closer at me and smiling.I had thoughts in my head but I quickly stopped them to look at him.

"Yeah. That sounds just like him. Well I guess this is my room." I said pointing to the door right in front of him.

"Yeah but wait before you go in your room I need to talk to you about something else!" he almost shouted at me.

"Okay then speak." I said smiling at him, his brightly green eyes bore deeply into mine.

"You're both born vampires, Alaya and Seth are together and Alaya is a made vampire so she told me that she told Seth that they could never break up because she swore on her life that she would protect Seth from any danger since made vampires can be really dangerous." he said looking at me.

"Okay." I said looking at him with a frown prominent on my face. "Thanks for telling me, I guess my brother has been taken care of here.." I let my words trail off.

"He has been, I wanted to update you on what he's been around so far. But take care Sarena, it was nice to meet you." He said with a small smile turning around to walk back towards his dorm.
