Turn 40 - Blades and Demons

The school day had ended and while Loretta was searching the dorms for Yushidas room in kumoto academy across the city Alicia, Robby and Rebecca were all also questioning the previous events of the night before.

"I wonder if Yushida is okay..." Alicia spoke in a sad tone.

"He could be now..." Rebecca spoke patting Alicias back. "All we can do is wait..."

Robby sat back in thought. "I still find it weird...a duel caused this." Robby sighed and then stood up. "Tomorrow we should go and see him." Robby suggested.

Alicia nodded before looking out at the town below. "I will."

Rebecca looked at Robby and Alicia and gave a small smile. "Hey Yushidas a really good duelist...He'll beat anyone who comes his way." Rebecca stated.

"I don't doubt that...but this duelist...wasn't just anyone." Robby replied. "They had strange powers to say the least...and the duel wasn't an ordinary duel either from the sound of it."

Alicia looked at Robby. "It was a shadow game...I think." Alicia stated. "Since he's alive...then he won."

"Or maybe it was a draw." Rebecca stated. "Cause it sounds like only the loser loses their soul but in the event of a draw neither is the winner...so Yushida either won or it was a draw."

Alicia looked at Rebecca with a small frown. "You have a point."

Robby looked at the pair and shrugged. "i'd like to say he won...but sometimes an opponent will set up a strategy to try and make sure neither player wins if they can't."

As the trio were discussing the situation an unknown person was walking over, wearing the kumoto academy uniform. They were rather built easily being around robbys height and size. He had tanned skin with dark green hair and brown eyes, on his right arm he was wearing a large saucer like object similar in size to the main body of a duel disk but this one was a dark Brown in colour with red accents. "Say...you are all friends of that guy Yushida right?"

Alicia looked towards the newcomer with an uneasy expression. "Who are you??"

Rebecca looked at him too with a cold glare. "And what do you want with Yushida?" Rebecca scowled at him.

"I just came looking for a duel." The man chuckled. "And the names Cray Hagane."

Robby glared at Cray before he took his own duel disk. "For one you're at the completely wrong school...for two Yushida is sick right now...so your Duel will be with someone else." Robby put his duel disk on and clenched his fist. "Got it?"

Cray looked at Robby seeming somewhat annoyed. "I see...I guess I'll have to make do then won't I?" Cray lifted his duel disk as the blade extended from it, the black being more curved than straight or bent and the edge going up his forearm turning outwards rather than inwards.

Alicia looked at the pair with a worried frown. She was unsure of what to expect of this new assailant. "Robby be careful...what if..."

"What if he's in league with the one who attacked Yushida...right?" Robby looked at Alicia. "Then I'll kick his ass seven ways to hell."

Cray smirked as he took the top 5 cards of his deck and looked at Robby. "You seem to catch on quickly...i won't make this a shadow game...but I'll still crush you nonetheless.

Robby began to glare as he took his own cards. "So I guess it's time to duel then.
