The entire camp shook as Percy Jackson thundered down the hill. He was believed to have died, almost a year ago but it seemed that he had even cheated death.
He hit the camp like a tsunami, taking everything down and destroying everything that stood in his way. The campers were terrified, they had no idea what to do, after all it was not as if they had each experienced the rage of Percy Jackson.
But even now when he was about to destroy my so-called home, I could not help but be mesmerized and entranced by my hero. His glowing sword in one hand, bow and quiver slung on his back; he was an arc of pure chaos. And I realized that I was still in love with him."Nico! Nico! What are you doing?" I was brought to reality by a familiar voice, Leo Valdez.
"Nico! You do know that there's nothing we can do to stop him and that sword is apocalyptic! He could wipe out the whole camp!" Exclaimed Leo, trying to hide his fear.
"Hey! Don't worry! He won't to anything! But that sword you don't think anyone will find out do you?" I said, trying to hide my own fear; everyones got secrets.
Leo shrugged, "I don't know for sure but we have to get everyone away from him! No one is gonna be foolish enough to stand in his way but still! Lets go!""You think you can take away whatever you want! You think you can kill whoever you want and get away with it! You will pay for them!" Percy bellowed as he destroyed the cabins by flooding them with water.
The sky went dark and thunderclouds started forming right above Perry's head. It took everything in Leo's power to stop me from running towards Percy. But Percy had gone nuts, he just stood there, facing the sky and laughing like a madman.
"You seriously don't think that you can take me out! I mean c'mon! Remember what happened to your pal Apollo?" He stood there taunting the gods and at that exact moment the lightning struck blinding everyone and aiming to fry Percy. But Percy just swung his sword, redirecting the lightning back towards the sky.
"Oh! I've got a message for you too!" Said Percy, smugly. And fired a golden arrow towards the sky, from where it vanished. " And also I've got a parting gift for you Zues! Hope you like it!"
And we followed Percy as he ran towards the wood. He was fast and soon we lost him but we did find out his "parting gift"; he had destroyed Zeus's Fist and the area around it. The ground was black and gave off underworld vibes.
"That sword is chatastropic! You sure know no one will find out about it?" I asked Leo, afraid.
"For our own sake's, let's hope no one does!" Replied Leo.~Present~
"Estelle will stay and guard the flag with two Demeter kids, two Athena's kids and two Aphrodite's. While the rest of us, the remaining 27 demeter's, 31 athena's and 39 Aphrodite's ; 97 of us, in total, will go after the red flag. We will spread out and if anyone finds the flag, alert the group and wait for backup. Understood?" Asked Olivia.
"Yes sir!" The group replied.Everyone was dressed in their armour and pumped for the game. After our defeat last time, we were all very eager to pay back the red team. It had become a norm for Athena, Poseidon, Aphrodite and Demeter to work together as the blue team while the red team consisted of Ares, Dionysus and Hephaestus. We had been losing for the last few games because they could not locate the red flag so Olivia changed tactics and now I had to guard the blue flag so no one could get to their flag.
We had placed the blue flag on the edge of the North woods just beside the lake for extra protection.
Harris and Olivia were leading the charge and I was supposed to protect the flag. As the blue team scattered away into the forest and I sat down on the ground waiting for someone from the red team to come her way and fate it seems had a cruel sense of humour. Soon the whole red team found it's way to the flag but if the whole Red team was here then who was guarding their flag?
This was no time for questions and I immediately went into action slashing and cutting, using the hilt of riptide to knock down demigods. But they were too many and we could not hold them for long so I willed the water from the lake to form a wall between us to provide cover. And just then Alice came rushing to me, she was a child of Demeter, panting,
"The red flag is at the centre of Zues fist and they are trying to cross it!"and she collapsed with exhaustion. The Zues Fist was forbidden area and going there was as good as going to tartarus, there was no returning.
The red team had cheated and because of them I might lose my friends and I was furious. I lost control and the water wall fell down on the red team knocking some out while others were dealt with quickly.
I ran towards the Fist. All my time at the camp, 16 fucking years and if there was one thing I knew, it was not to go near the Fist. It had a history and I was sure that it had something to do with Percy Jackson but no one really knew for sure. All we knew was that it was that it was a damaged site. Plants did not grow there, animals ignored it and whoever crossed it would pass out of exhaustion with a high chance of dying.I rushed in to the Demeter kids growing a vine on the habitable ground and navigating it towards the broken fist and walking on that vine was Harris Malik. He picked up the flag and started walking back, grinning. It was all going well, he was slowly making his way back and he was gonna be safe but that was wrong. He was gonna slip at the last moment and a golden arrow was gonna pierce his head.
Somehow I knew exactly what was gonna happen and I ran for it. I ducked under the vine just as he slipped, caught him bridal style and flipped him towards safe ground.I could feel myself drifting off, exhausted. I collasped and fell on my back. I could see something golden falling from the sky; an arrow. It was coming towards me, I was gonna die but I was too exhausted to move. But someone snatched it out of the air just in time to save me and I passed out.
