You sigh and signal at the bartender to bring another drink from your seat behind bar. So far, you were only two beers in and it wasn't near enough to make yourself forget about the horrible day you had. Your car had broke down that morning and you already knew the repair bill was going to make quite a dent in your bank account, and then to make matters worse your boyfriend had broken up with you. Your relationship with him had been getting worse and worse the past couple weeks so you knew this was coming, but of course he choose today of all days to break it off. At this point you were content to keep drinking until any memories of today melted into a drunken haze and you could stumble home and pass out. Any concern of a hangover was a problem for tomorrow since you were too miserable to care. You suddenly notice a shadow cast over you for a second and feel someone tap your shoulder. You turn around not knowing what to expect and meet the gaze of intense red eyes. You didn't know how best to describe the man standing in front of you. He was tall and handsome, with long black spiky hair that fell to his waist and clad in a tight black tee shirt that outlined his abs and biceps almost perfectly under a black leather jacket. His shirt was tucked into dark jeans that lead down to a pair of plain black work boots. What caught your attention most of all, though, was his piercings. He had silver studs almost everywhere: on his brow-bone, nose, chin, ears, and forearms. Normally, you wouldn't have though someone could pull off that kind of look, but the piercings accented his face so well that it looked almost natural, as if they were always there. The stranger grinned watching you look him up and down so intensely, and introduced himself.
"The name's Gajeel. You look like you're having a rough time, let me buy you a drink." He said in a deep, almost rumbling voice as he slowly sat down on the stool next to you.
You think about your options for a minute. He could be a serial killer or something, but he was undeniably very attractive and offering you free booze. Who were you to decline such a generous offer? "I'm y/n, it's nice to meet you. I'll take you up on that drink." You replied calmly. He eyes the beer you're nursing and orders two shots of whiskey. "You look like you need something stronger than beer, wanna tell me about it?" He inquires, leaning in a bit. By now, you're starting to feel the effects of the alcohol you've been drinking and you could smell the surprisingly pleasant scent of his cologne. Why the hell not, you wanna get wasted anyway and you'll probably never see this guy again after tonight, so you might as well take the chance to rant. You down the shot quickly and savor the warm burn in your throat before launching into your story and telling Gajeel all about your day. He listens intently and orders another round as you explain what had happened and how much it sucked until you were practically out of breath. Now having finished, you took the second shot easily and waited for a response from the stranger next to you.
He chuckles a bit and orders more drinks for the two of you. "Damn, no wonder you're drinking so much. I would be doing the same if all that happened to me, though I didn't know beautiful women like you could have such bad luck." Starting to feel a little tipsy, you laugh and ask him how he ended up at the bar. It was a hole in the wall that was a bit sketchy, and though this was your first time you knew not many people frequented this place. "I come here pretty often whenever I want a drink, but I've never seen you here before." He says. You explain that you don't really go out to drink too much, usually the occasional glass of wine at your apartment was enough, but not today. You start to open up a bit more and chat with him as both of you keep drinking. About an hour later you can't quite remember how many shots you've had at this point, maybe four or five? You've mostly been focused on Gajeel this whole time, but you think through the alcohol enough to realize that you should probably start heading home before you end up passed out here. You stand up and wobble a bit, before regaining your balance. "Thanks for the drinks, but I think I should be going home now before I can't walk out of here." You say jokingly. He stands up as well and before you know it he grabs your arm gently to stop you from hurrying away. "Why don't we go back to my place for coffee?" He says almost shyly, faintly blushing and watching you carefully to gage your reaction. Though you were tired and kind of wanted to go home and sleep, the possibility of hooking up with such a hot guy seemed too good to pass up. You take you arm away only to grab his hand and lean in a bit. "That sounds nice." You say as he smirks and starts to lead you out of the bar.
