Captured In A Thousand Fragments of You
He had a flair for being dreamy.
He had a knack for being seductive.
And he had a way of crawling under my skin.
You could say that he was my high, my disease. No matter what he is, he's mine.
I stood, leaning against the massive glass window taking up the full wall of the hotel room. This was luxurious, and this was way more than I could afford, or ever hope to afford. But this...I had been waiting a long time for this. I couldn't even identify exactly what I wanted, what I needed at the moment. All I could feel was adrenaline - and it felt better than any other sensation that existed in the world.
And this twisted desire to meet with him was the cause. Anytime, anyplace, and anything else he wanted. It was the kind of insanity that I tried to break free from at first, but after a while, I couldn't fight it anymore. I was on the edge, right where I wanted to be...which was with him.
The door opened smoothly, and as he entered, I refused to turn my head to see him. I had to tease him; feel his pure golden irises burn into my back. He tossed his jacket onto a nearby chair and flicked on a lamp while he loosened his tie, the weak light spreading across the remaining walls of the room.
"Are you sure you didn't want to get a drink from the bar?" He asked suavely as he continued to approach me. Although he was several feet away from me, I could sense his breath on my skin, forming goosebumps on every single inch of my skin. One simple suggestion from him always sent my senses wild, hoping that with each question, they would become more daring, more dangerous.
"Fujimi?" The way he called my name was like the sound of a bell - so clear, so strong, breaking me out of the mesmerizing haze of my thoughts.
"Allon," I replied, my tongue enjoying the exotic name. "This view is all I need." At last, I turned to meet his gaze. His bright teeth, shining brilliantly like stars, pulled my attention fully into his grin.
"Perfect," he stated, continuing to diminish the distance between us. Strands of his midnight black hair fell over his eyes as he approached, a slightly amused expression on his face. The dark indigo strapless dress I had finally worked up the nerve to wear felt tight, my chest rapidly expanding and contracting to keep up with the amount of air that was filling my lungs.
"And the moonlight..." I breathed out when he was barely inches from my face. This seemingly mutual fascination of each other was too strong.
"Mm." His agreement was a low murmur, while he wrapped an arm around my waist and drew me in closer. I tried to contain my urge to jump when he began to massage my neck with his free hand - the touch was similar to static electricity to me.
I knew it was his last night here. I knew that I had gotten too attached to him. There was so much that I knew...but did anyway. None of that seemed to matter compared to the way he surrounded me. Whether it was uncontrollable attraction or intense love, I couldn't tell. It was almost as if the connection from my brain to my body was short-circuited every time he was near. And I was surrendering willingly to the insanity.
"M-maybe I should h-have taken the drink..." I regretted aloud sheepishly as I felt his lips wander closer to my ear. To make matters worse, I felt vertigo tug at me once I focused on the city lights below me through the full glass wall. I tried to move as discreetly as I could while he followed me fervently to reach the deep crimson velvet curtains.
"Really?" He whispered in amusement, yet refused to pause. "Don't you think...it's a little too late for that?" His voice wasn't accusing - but it was almost as if he were speaking to a small child.
