Katsuki never looked back.
Not even once.
His head was spinning with betrayal and pain. He had so many mixed emotions, he loved Midoriya, but he was too upset to even try to think about forgiving him. He had heard Tsuyu, Mina, Uraraka, and Kirishima call after him, but he ignored them too. Katsuki hoped Kirishima wouldn't get overly stressed about him, it wouldn't be good for the baby. Soon, he found himself at the park. Street lamps illuminated patches of the sidewalk, nobody was even out. He slows to a walk and looks at his surroundings.
Katsuki cries into his hands, he felt so confused. "Why me? Why me?" He walks on the sidewalk, jumping whenever he heard the wind blow and rustle the leaves on the trees. He felt paranoid, like somebody was watching him in the dark night. Katsuki crosses the grass and towards the playground, seating himself on a swing. "This is dumb...maybe...I should go back?"
Uuugghh!!! I can't do that! I just acted like a complete brat and left everyone panicking over me!
Katsuki looks down at his beat up orange converse. He swung his legs slightly until he gained momentum to swing, but not too high. The cool breeze nipped at his skin, but he felt numb, too numb by his tangled emotions. Suddenly, the sound of footsteps walking through the grass was audible.
Low, but audible.
Katsuki forced himself to stop swinging and looks around. "H-hello", he called out. It was followed by a sniffle as the sound could be heard closer.
Katsuki wanted to run, but he felt frozen in place. Run! he told himself, run! However, he couldn't, he was just stuck glued to the black swing. When he closes his eyes, the footsteps stop. The omega carefully opened them and looked in front of him, smiling just a tiny bit when he spotted a familiar alpha.
"Hitoshi", he says with a little bit of joy.
The said boy walks over and sits beside him. "What the fuck are you doing out here at night", Shinsou asks sternly.
Katsuki looks away from him, "it's a long story."
"Summarize it", Shinsou demands.
"....me and my alpha got into a fight. I found out something, and now I think that something just destroyed our relationship."
"Damn. I'm sorry Kat, I know that's stressful for mates."
The young omega sniffles, "yeah. Yeah it is." Shinsou and Katsuki stay quiet like this for what felt like an eternity. The violet haired boy didn't want to say something that would be out of line. Katsuki didn't want to speak up and have his voice crack, another river of tears following after. He stands from the swing and starts walking away. Shinsou was shocked by the suddenness and jogs to catch up. "Hey wait up!" He walks beside Katsuki, watching him carefully.
Katsuki could practically feel how hard Shinsou was staring at him. "Why are you staring at me like that?"
Shinsou blushes and turns away, "no reason! No reason at all!" Katsuki raises a brow but shrugged his shoulders, deciding to forget about it. He then started making conversation, just to ease the tension between the two. Katsuki laughed at the jokes Shinsou made which only made him laugh along with him. They were actually having fun, and it was uplifting for the omega.
They start walking through the trees, the lamps barely able to shine on them. It was a little troubling for Katsuki to see and the shade made the wind colder on him. "You know, you don't have to go back", Shinsou suddenly speaks out.
