The Shadow Huntress (rewrite)

𝙼𝚒𝚝𝚣𝚞'𝚜 𝙿𝙾𝚅

The one known as Vendel asks "Are you willing to stay or are you leaving?" I reply to Vendel "The only reason I was even near the canal was due to returning from visiting my sister-in-law... I would prefer to watch over my son still; even if it's from the shadows, however to answer your question Vendel... Yes, I will stay for now." Blinky then states "Aaarrrgghh and I have plenty of spare rooms in our dwelling that you can stay in, if you want to, that is."

Sitting up slowly while smiling; I answer "If you would not mind then very well. I don't want to be a bother to yo-" I say, but am cut off by Blinky insisting "Its no bother at all." Aaarrrgghh nods his head in agreement with Blinky. I sigh in defeat as I nod my head in acceptance of their agreement. Blinky and Aaarrrgghh lead the way out of the room. I quickly fasten my two cloaks back in place then pull the hoods up and follow them both out.

We walk for a little while; until Blinky and Aaarrrgghh head towards a dwelling. I follow them; the other trolls are all watching me and them closely. Continuing to follow them; until a large male troll moves into my path on purpose. Instead of confronting him like he wants me too. I merely dodge to the side and weave around him. The troll doesn't take kindly to that though. He tries to grab my cloaks, but I easily move out of his grasp. That's when thankfully Blinky and Aaarrrgghh notice what he is doing.

Aaarrrgghh moves in front of the troll while Blinky ushers me to follow him. I walk beside Blinky ignoring the other troll that seems to be yelling at Aaarrrgghh. When we reach their dwelling; I sigh in relief. Blinky glances at me curiously, but doesn't question me. Blinky leads me into their dwelling; just as Aaarrrgghh came back. Taking off my cloaks and weapons as well. "Thank you for that back there Aaarrrgghh..." I say to Aaarrrgghh; he nods in reply.

Blinky says "Some trolls here don't except others, but he will be shunned for what he did. Trying to pick a fight with you; even Vendel won't stand for that." Glancing at Blinky then looking towards the nearby wall. I sigh and then say to them "The reason for why I avoided him was due to some of my oaths and vows I must abide by. If I were to forsaken them... then I will be ending myself. The punishment is death; slow, agonizing and excruciating... I can only harm those of true evil... or serve it at least."

That's when Vendel said "So that is the reason why you did not fight Kantor." Whipping around to see not only Blinky and Aaarrrgghh, but also Vendel and Kanjigar there too. I close my eyes and sigh; I then reply "My vows and oaths bind me... They Are shackles, chains, collars to keep us Angels that have decided to remain on Earth under control... To make sure we can still ascend to heaven If we are killed by a demon... However since they have been sealed away in hell permanently Nd the last perished a decade ago..."

Blinky whispers loud enough for the others to hear "You can never truely leave Earth... Never able to ascend." I look Blinky in the eyes and nod sadly and say "I can never truely die... And neither can any of my young..." A few tears are there, but I turn away from them. My tears falling silently down my face until they crystalized. Blinky had made his way over to me; I stayed where I was.

𝙱𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚔𝚢'𝚜 𝙿𝙾𝚅

I made my way over to Mitzu while motioning for the others to leave the room. They do so thankfully without complaints; I look back at Mitzu. She is still facing away from me and so I muster up my courage. "Mitzu... *deep breathe in* I... I remember you Mizzy (Miz-ee)... When we used to meet in Crystalline cavern; centuries ago..." I say while closing my eyes and fearing Mizzy will reject me. Feeling arms wrap around my shoulders; I open my eyes to see Mizzy smiling at me.

"I know... I was unsure if you would remember me Blinks. I was afraid that you left me cause you never wanted to see me again." Mizzy whispers; instantly wrapping my arms around her waist and lean my forehead against hers. I then whisper to Mizzy "I never wanted to leave you, but at the time I had amnesia... I would never leave you or our children." Mizzy buries her face into my neck and actually cries. I feel her tears on my neck and that's when the Kanjigar pokes his head in.

His eyes are wide as he takes in the position Mizzy and I are currently in. Aaarrrgghh and Vendel come in behind Kanjigar, but stop when they see us. I clearly look right at them and motion with my head to leave the room. Aaarrrgghh understands me and gets the others to leave. Noticing that Mizzy is leaning more of her weight on me. I pick her up bridal style; noticing that she is as light as I remember her being. Walking out of the room; towards the spare room. I enter it and gently place Mizzy down on the bed in there. Yet when I go to let her go; Mizzy doesn't let me go. Mizzy whispers "Please stay... So I don't think this is all just a dream Blinks. Please."
