The light sparkled off the frost on my window scattering a rainbow across my room as I lay eyes wide open preparing myself for the day ahead of me. My room made cold with the autumn chill entering the house, my feet arm kept warm from my cat smoke curled up on top using them as her bed. I dared not look at the time I just wanted to stay in my bed and enjoy every moment I had left in my home. Where I am safe from judgment of witches and wizards. But it was not for long as my door creaked opened with my aunts head peering in from the corner "morning sweety time to get up and ready". Pushing myself up joints now stiff stretched out only when I start lifting up my covers does smoke even bother to move. Pulling my grease mess of hair up I head downstairs for to start the day, as I reach the bottom of the stairs I can her my aunt singing well out and the hint of something burning. A better cook now than when I first moved in with her, she still somehow always seems to get breakfast disastrously wrong. "so, what's burnt this time?" she sighs with a laugh while she rubs her forehead as staring at the pot in the sink filled to the brim with water. "Porridge" her whole body seemed to sigh in defeat "no matter how many times I try it always seems to go wrong" she shrugs while handing me a plate with slightly darkened edged toast, the only thing she could kinda do right. As I basically tried to inhale the toast and a glass of orange juice, echoing of meows coming from upstairs followed by smoke leisurely making her way down only to jump on to my lap to nibble away on a tiny bit of toast I had left on the plate. "Are you all ready for your train ride to Hogwarts?" I nod as the last piece of toast is jammed in my mouth, lifting smoke up as I begin to head back up to my room. My Aunt turns to shout up "we should grab something before you have to get the train?".

"Sounds good" I shout back to her.

Once I was back in my room did I put smoke back down and head for a shower, water streaming through my raven black hair which now reach the middle of my back. I thought back to my other school and how happy I was not to be going back there, but also how I would miss my aunt while away. Dried off I quickly pulled my long ass hair into a French braid leaving only my side fringe which brushed against the side of my face. I quickly applied the makeup that I had yet to pack away in my back pack, it was one of those enchanted bags or as muggles said to be a Marry Poppins bag it could have everything in my room and still fit more into it. It mostly had things from the muggle world such as snacks, energy juices and books that I had to have while I was stuck up at Hogwarts. Especially the energy juices and books. Plenty to last me a while before I would need a resupply from my aunt.

Since this was considered a big event I put on a skirt at least for my aunt but with a short sleeved band top that I am obsessed with, on top of a long sleeved to with my favourite pair of docs and destressed tights. I looked like I belonged in the muggle world more than ever except from my wand sticking out of my backpack and the cat that was fast asleep in my arms. Downstairs I almost trip over the trunk that contained most of my clothes and the other things that had been out on the requirements list. I attempt to put smoke in a carrier but she wouldn't have it so I put on her harness that and her wee leash on. Unlike other cats smoke comes with me everywhere, my aunt got him just after I moved in with her hoping it would become a companion for the both of us but since then smoke hasn't left my side.
