Just as an artist does
He painted over me.
kind of like when the painter
Doesn't realize his clay is unclean.
After the colors were sealed
He finally was able to see right through me.
he tried to scrape away all of my faults,
but a little color went away
as he was scraping them off.
He was now a criminal
He was charged for theft.
He could no longer do anything
So he exited stage left.
Then she came along and
Finished scraping away what he had left unkept.
She tried to clean off all the mistakes he had made,
but soon realized they were stuck in the clay.
Instead of using paint, she used glue.
It didn't cover the anything;
You could see right through.
This feeling of glue, it felt so new.
For now her faults were evident too.
A feeling so remarkable, it only happens to a few.
She scraped away my pain and filled it with her glue.
Although as transparent as morning dew
It keeps the connection between me and you.
