Chapter 10 - Payback's A Bitch, Isn't It?

San drove Shelbi back to her place. He was worried about her injuries and was not gonna stand and watch the woman he loves get hurt like that. Enough is enough. When they arrived, San got out of the driver's side and ran to the passenger side and carefully lifted Shelbi up bridal style. He opened the door and went straight to Shelbi's room and laid her down on the bed. He stroked her face and whispered. "You're a tough girl who can take a beating, but I can't stand and watch you get hurt like this." He was about to leave when he felt her grab his hand.

"Please... Don't go, Sannie~" She croaked out and San sat beside her on the bed.

"How are you feeling?" He asked her.

"Like I got hit by a truck." She smiled slightly, but grimaced because of the pain.

"What were you thinking?"

"I fought what I love and believed in." She whispered.

San sighed and looked down at their clasped hands. He couldn't take it anymore as he couldn't watch his best friend, the love of his life be tortured like this. "Shelbi, this has to stop."

Shelbi furrowed her brows together. "And let them get away with this?"

San shook his head. "There's a thing called Karma that will bite them in the ass. You and your sisters are getting beaten up for something you didn't do. How long will it take for you girls to stop?"

"Until we are satisfied with their misery." She said sternly.

San stood up and walked towards the window, looking out. "What then, huh? This is not who you are!"

Shelbi sat up a bit and argued back. "If you were in my situation and one of Monsta X attacked you and cheated on your girlfriend, wouldn't you have done the same thing?!"

"Of course not! I would've forgive and not forget, but I wouldn't try to risk my life to fight the person who done it!" San was getting more frustrated.

Shelbi was fighting back tears and looked down. "Sannie~ I am not gonna let these bitches ruin our lives. Like Mark said, they started it so we are finishing it!"

San stood there dumbfounded. "Are you actually serious about this?!"

"Do I have a choice?!"

"Yes! Everyone has a choice and there are better options than this!" San was seething.

"What am I suppose to do? What do you want me to do?!"

"I want you to stop being such a martyr!" He shouted and then there was silence.

Shelbi had tears flowing down her face and looked away from San, who was suppose to be her pillar of support and love. San sighed and walked over to the bed, sitting next to her. "Shelbi, I'm sorry I didn't mean to say that." He said quietly, regretting what he said , but there was some truth in his words.

"No, I get it. You're right..." She sobbed and San hugged her tightly, soothing her as she sobbed into her chest.

A few minutes later, Shelbi fell asleep in San's arms and He heard the front door opened with numerous voices. He gently placed Shelbi down and made sure she didn't stir, left the room, closed the door behind him and headed downstairs to meet the others. "Hey guys, Shelbi's asleep." He said as he placed his index finger to his lips and pointing to the ceiling.

"How is she?" Sehun asked worriedly.

"She's fine, she's resting just now." He replied back.

"Thank you, San~" The girls said in unison.

San nodded and smiled slightly. "I'll need to talk with you."

"What's the matter?" Carrie asked.

San sat down and so did the others. "You guys need to stop this feud with Blackpink, MAMAMOO and Monsta X before something bad will happen to one of you."

"San, they started it, we are trying to finish it." Ashlea scoffed.

"What will that accomplish? You guys are risking your lives in fighting with them and to what? You've seen how that turned out when Shelbi was pushed and collapsed unconscious in school!" San said with frustration.

"San, calm down..." Seonghwa walked closer to him, but San backed away.

"Don't tell me to calm down! I am pissed off that you guys are letting this happen! Especially you, Sehun!"

Sehun's eyes went wide. "What are you talking about?!"

San walked over to him with judgement. "If it weren't for you, Shelbi and the girls wouldn't be in this mess right now!"

Jackson held San back before things escalated. "San, that's enough!"

Wooyoung was in front of San and placed both hands on either side of his face. "San, please calm down! Get a hold of yourself!"

San closed his eyes and took deep breaths and calmed himself down. He looked up and Wooyoung smiled. "You good?"

San nodded and Jackson let go of him. Kristyn walked up to San and placed her hand on his shoulder. "Shelbi is gonna be alright, we are gonna be alright okay?"

San nodded again and looked down. "I just don't want you girls to get hurt more because this is insane." He said quietly.

The girls walked up to him and smiled. "We are all strong here. We protect each other and have each others backs. If anyone messes with this family all hell will break loose." Ashlea said and San's eyes went wide.

"Please tell me you're not continuing on like this. Just walk away!" He said panicked.

Felix spoke next with his voice soothing. "San, we can all look after ourselves, you just need to trust and believe in us more. We are in this together."

"Payback's a bitch, they don't know what's hit them." Lucas said and everyone's attention on him. "What? I'm only saying the truth."

"Please, no more bloodshed. I can't take this anymore." San whispered and everyone gave him a look of sympathy.

"We can't promise anything, but we will try our best." Diane said and the others nodded in agreement.

"Okay, but if this situation gets worst, then I'm out." San said and everyone nodded.

"Let's head home and let the girls to rest up." Jinyoung said and the boys agreed and left.

The girls went straight to bed because they were exhausted, but they thought San was right and that they really need to stop. After those girls get what they deserve.
