IT WAS JUST like any other day in the toretto shop. business was here and there. elliot found himself in his normal position. sat on the corner of the counter, holding a magazine. his sister didn't mind because elliot was helpful with the customers.
when elliot heard the little bell above the door ring, he looked over his magazine to see the same blonde man walk through. he sat in his normal location, smiling up at Mia.
"tuna on white, no crust, right?" the brunette girl questions. "i don't know, how is it?" the blonde teased while going through his magazine.
"you've been asking how the tuna is every day for the past three weeks," mia said, grinning and putting her hand on her hip. "well, yesterday wasn't great. the day before was awful, and you know what? nothing has changed," she pondered.
"i'll have the tuna," the blonde said softly, matching the brunette's gaze.
"no crust?"
"no crust,"
"thank you," he said hastily to the brunette girl who brought him his sandwich. elliot looked up from his magazine to make eye contact with the blue-eyed buster. he was really attractive in his eyes.
when brian smiled softly, elliot diverted his eye contact. he clicked his tongue as he pushed the magazine back above his face. to elliot's ears, the sound of engines was like music. he watched his old friends get out of the car and walk up to vince's car as elliot peered out the window.
"talk to me, jesse," vince urged, stepping out of his crystal blue sedan. "this ain't working, brother," he pressed the younger.
"it's your fuel map," as everyone gathered around vince's hood, jesse exclaimed, "it has a nasty hole in it,"
"told you," leon said with a smug expression. vince turned and glared at the younger. "shut up," vince spat.
"i prolong the injector pulse by a millisecond, just adjust the NOS timer and you'll run nines," jesse said to vince as he continued to inspect the automobile.
looking around, vince noticed the same red truck that had been coming around for weeks. "what?" jesse whined as vince grasped the back of his head, turning his focus to the red pickup vehicle, as did everyone else.
"what's up with this fool?" vince's words had a hint of jealousy. "is he sandwich crazy?" he asked, keeping his posture straight.
leon responded, "no, v," refuting the accusation. he smirked at the glare directed at him and remarked, "he aint here for the food, dude,"
"slow down, dude," letty rolled her eyes at the two. "he's just slinging parts for harry, man," she attempted to rationalize.
"i know what he's slinging," vince said, going passed her. "he's trying to get into mia's pants, dog," leon joked, prompting letty to stare at him.
letty lifted an eyebrow at him. "you're not helping,"
"WHAT'S UP GUYS!?"mia grinned at her friends as they entered the shop.
"how you doing, mia?" jesse asked passing her to go to elliot. jesse grinned slightly when he noticed elliot eagerly waiting for him on the counter.
"hey mia," leon followed behind jesse, planting a kiss on mia's cheek as he passed.
"hey," jesse detected, with her lips pressed to elliot's cheek. "hey," el said with a gentle smile as he wrapped his arms around the shorter.
"where you go this morning?" looking up at the korean man, jesse questioned. elliot decided to stay the night with jesse yesterday night but had to leave early in the morning due to some business.
"m' sorry, but i had to run a few errands," he replied. "maybe you stay tonight after the race?" elliot asked and jesse nodded with a smile.
"okay,"
"hey mama," elliot smiled at letty, planting a kiss on her head as she stood in the doorway of his older brother's office.
"hey dom, you want anything to drink? letty asked him, and he held up a drink without even looking at her.
"he's beautiful," jesse said, glancing at him through a pair of sunglasses he had picked up from the shelf.
"i like his haircut," leon said, standing next to jesse and snacking on chips.
"vince ," mia said, attempting to get the male's attention as he glanced down brian. "vince!" she cried, finally getting his attention.
"what?" he asked, his gaze shifting to the female toretto. "can i get you anything?" she said, standing with her hand on her hip.
"you look good," he said, dismissing her question and eagerly looking her over. brian got to his feet and set some cash down on the counter. "thanks a lot mia, see you tomorrow!?"
"sure," mia said happily as she watched him leave the shop."tomorrow?" vince murmured abruptly, rising up.
"i love this part," elliot whispered to leon and jesse. they all watched as vince slapped his hands on the counter and stormed toward the blonde.
he yelled, "yo!" after the man. "from now on, try a fat burger, two for $2.95, have yourself a double cheese with fries, faggot,"
at the remark, elliot rolled his eyes. he despised the way vince used the word so carelessly, as if his two closest buddies were gay and in a relationship. brian looked over his shoulder and carried on walking towards his vehicle. "i like the tuna here,"
"bullshit, asshole, no one likes the tuna here," vince responded and followed him.
"yeah, well i do," brian says. vince moved towards the man, shoving him against the truck. brian threw his fist, landing a punch in vince's face. vince rose up again and pushed brian back into the car, wrapping his arms around brian's waist and staggering about while still holding on to each other.
"jesus christ, dom!" mia exclaimed. "can you get others there? i'm sick of this shit!" she spat as vince and brian fell to the ground, vince on top.
"fuck this shit," elliot muttered, rushing out of the shop and towards the two fighting figures.
"el! el! shit!" mia yelled watching his receding form. "dom!"
"what'd you put in that sandwich?" dom said as he got up from the chair. "that's really funny," mia mockingly nodded. dom stepped passed her and towards vince, el and brian.
dom threw the blonde off of vince and into the back of brian's car, while elliot watched. "hey, man, he was in my face,"
"i'm in your face," dom abruptly said. vince got back up and lunged in the direction of the two, but elliot shoved him away. "don't push it!"
"relax! don't push it! you embarrassed me!" dom snapped at vince, pointing a threatening finger at him. "jesse, give me the wallet,"
as he lowered, jesse grabbed the wallet and gave it to dom. "brian splitner earl, seems like the name of a serial killer; are you one of them?"
"no, man,"
dominic extended his finger into brian's face. "don't come around here again," brian snatched his wallet back as dom began to walk away.
brian exclaimed with his arms raised, "hey, man, you know this is bullshit," he said trailing the toretto man.
"you work for harry, right?" dominic wondered as he turned to face the blonde man once more.
"yes," brian gave a nod. "i just started,"
"you were just fired," dom stated as he whirled around and walked back toward his shop.
