Love at it's Finest

Chapter one

Rain started to fall from the sky and onto my journal. That should be good enough for today I thought I closed my journal and walked into my house. I could smell my mom making dinner. She was making some healthy casserole aging my mom is on some bing healthy diet thing. Which I don't understand because she is skinny and healthy. "Tesha, Bryson" my mom calls "dinner" "coming" me and my brother say in unison. As me and my brother sit down my mom is dishing up our dinner. "Uh mom what is that" I say cautiously so I don't get in trouble "well Tesha this is a broccoli and spinach casserole." The "casserole" as my mom called it looked green and slimy. My dog Sadey came running over good I thought. We started eating well "eating" me and my brother just stuffed our mouths not swallowing any of it. When my mom left to go answer a phone call my brother and I spit out our food in our napkins and gave the rest of the food on our plates to Sadey.While my mom was still in the kitchen my brother and I escaped to our rooms. Five minutes later my mom calls up the stairs "your father is working late tonight" "big surprise" I say under my breathe sarcastically. My father is a CEO of some big company so he has to work late a lot.

I opened up my journal and started to write a poem (i'm big on poetry) but as soon as I started to write my brother turned up his stupid music. I just popped in my ear buds and played my favorite song Burning Gold by Christina Perri. I got so lost in the music I didn't even hear my mom knock on my door. Suddenly I felt my ear buds being pulled out of my ears. "Mom whats the heck!" "Sorry it's just I have something to tell you I just got a call from your school". Oh great this can't be good I thought "and theres this knew student who's coming and your principle has decided you are going to show the knew student around the school". "Mom I don't want to why did they choose me i'm far from being the best student at the school I mean im not bad but i'm not perfect." "Tesha! your high school principle chose you out of all the students at your school you should be honored." "Ugh fine when do I need to be there." "Tomorrow at 10:00" " What! tomorrow! "That's Saturday i'm seriously giving up my Saturday for this person" "yes".

I sat there for a few moments then I finally said "why can't I just show him around on a normal school like they do with every other student." "I don't know Tesa but you are going to do it and be grateful." "Yippee i'm so excited" I say sarcastically. "Good girl" my mom says and leaves i'm guessing she didn't get the sarcastic part or chose to ignore it but whateves. I popped my ear buds back in and just thought to myself tomorrow is going to be awful.
