Love At First Sight- Episode 1

Sitting on a deck chair, in my white bikinis on a luxurious cruise ship, with my closest cousin in the world, Kaitlen. I turn towards her and smile, taking selfies again. Kaitlen and I are completly different but we are like sisters.

I turn back and continue reading my book, and play with me gold, plated necklace with my name on it. 

"Get your nose out of that thing, and help me" Kaitlen said eager.

"This thing...?" I questioned.

"The book. Get your nose out of that book and  help me find a picture to post"

"You should try a book sometime, they have markings inside that tell stories, and impart information" I suggested.

'You can get like 10,000 ebooks in a reader, half the size of that thing, and you wouldn't have to lug that weight around with you, everywhere." 

Kaitlen had a point but holding the actual book feels better for me.

"It not the same" i answered back.

"That's my point. What is that anyways?" Kaitlen asked.

A little agitated, i held up my book and showed her the title. She read the title slowly and outloud.

Then she suggested "Have you ever thought about reading a vampire romance, or an apocolyptic zombie story, like every other brainiac sixteen year old?"

I smile, "I don't criticize your fashion magazines,"

"Fashion exactly, something they don't FORCE you to study in school. Something fun."

I think, subjects like, language, maths, english are fun. Aren't they?

"HIsotry books are fun" I answer.

"Sometimes, I wonder how possibly we can be related. I know our mum's are sisters but still"

Then I interupt continuing on my topic of history being fun, "their social, say i'm reading it and somebody sees im reading it, and that somebody comes up and strikes up a conversation, maybe they'd say, nice book, and I'd say I know right, or they might say, that's some heavy reading, and I'd say, about 2 pounds. And we'd laugh" 

Kaitlen was speechless, I think she was still trying to take everything in.

"And he'd ask me out, and we'd kiss..."

"Wait" Kailten butts in. 

Then it clicked, i groan, "oh don't start," i

"You still haven't kissed anybody yet?!" Kaitlen complains.

"What does that have to do with anything?" I ask, but serisouly what does it have to do with anything though.

"PLEASE tell me, you at least dated somebody since the family cruise last year" 

Then i reply in a sophisticated tone "maybe i haven't met the right person yet?"

"Look around you!" Kailten suggests.

Then all of the sudden a cute blonde walks by, i turn to Kaitlen, and she's smiling to him. Oh my god, Kailten's the one falling for boys, not me. Why can't she just let me date, when im ready?

"Maybe if you can't meet the right person here, then maybe you should change what your looking for? Anyways, which one of these should i post?" Holding her iphone towards me, showing me a series of selfies she took.

I sigh, here we go again. "I don't know, maybe the one where you look fabulous, or the other one where you look fabulous, or i know, that one where you look fabulous."
