I ran a hand through my long hair, black roots that faded into a deep red that then faded into an almost peach color. I could hear the bell ring on the door as someone came into the store. "Hello. Welcome to Heartbeat. Can I help you with anything?" I asked the purpled haired women. She smiled at me as she thought of what to say next. "I'm actually looking for Evan? Is he here?" She asked as she moved her way up to the counter, stopping every so often to admire some kind of musical instrument.

I smiled at the women, not surprised at all that she was there for him. He was quite good at getting really pretty ladies. "Well, the boss man isn't here right now. Can I take a message or you could leave a note?" I asked not trying to sound mean about him not being here. I could see her slightly wince at the news. "Maybe I could help you?" I asked her again, not liking how she seemed upset.

"Well, I met him when he went out busking, and he said he had a band. My friend put me in charge of coming up with some musical talent for this party she's having. And he was really good." She explained, slightly embarrassed. I let out a small laugh. "Well, looks like I can help you with this." I tell her as I put my hand out for her to shake. "I'm Ember, I'm the singer of said band. I can take care of whatever you need." I tell her, noticing her obvious relief. I pull out my phone and pull up some of the video's from our other gigs so she could see what she's getting herself into.

"I think you're guys sound is awesome. It would be amazing if I could hire you. Would you guys be able to do it this Saturday? I know it's so late." She told me, looking worried. I smiled at her once again. "I'll call the dudes and talk to them. Can I get your name and number so I can let you know what we decide?" I ask gesturing to my phone. Letting her know it's okay for her to add her number. She smiled back at me as she picked it up. After setting my phone back down she thanked me before heading for the door. As soon as I saw the door closed I pulled up the group band chat.

The sound of the bell on the front door had me glancing up from my phone

The sound of the bell on the front door had me glancing up from my phone. I smiled as I saw Luca walking up to me. "Hey fucker. You read the chat yet?" I asked the grey haired guy. He looked up at me, his grey blueish eyes met my green ones. He gave a small nod. I just smiled at him. "I guess I'm gonna head out then. See ya later." I told him as I grabbed my bag and left the shop. I sat in my car for a few moments before looking for the new contact.
