It was another gloomy night of irksome winter. Fiona was turning 23 tomorrow. Fiona collected her things she wanted and went down on the long road along with the frozen river. Joanna had gone to market and Ronald was nowhere about. Possibly Ronald was with Joanna.

Fiona lit her torch. She went to the gate of the cemetery and just opened the gate. This cemetery is surrounded by fences, tall trees and bushes. It takes 30 minutes from Fiona's home to cemetery. Cemetery was a place of silence, cold and dust. Fiona was so busy in opening the gate, Suddenly a faded voice aroused in the silence of cemetry,

"Fiona! What are you doing here, my child?"

It was Mr. Peterson's voice. He is one of Fiona's old teacher, who used to live near the graveyard.

Fiona replied,

"Oh Mr. Peterson, It is my birthday tonight and I want to spend it with Smith"
Mr. Peterson broke into tears. He left without saying anything.

Fiona again struggled to move the heavy gate. She opened it and went inside. It was more cold inside, birches were bare, the grass was thin and damp. The full moon was glowing between the clouds, right on the top of cemetery. She began to walk.
