It was early Saturday morning and I couldn't stop thinking about what happened with Lauren's parents yesterday. I've been thinking about it since I got home and honestly it's kept me up because I honestly didn't understand what their problem was. I don't understand why they thought that I'd only be with Lauren because she comes from money. Like what was that?

"Dinah you're cousin is coming over so what ever plans you have cancel them." My mom says.

I looked at her as a deep frown formes on my face. "Mom I can't cancel. Lauren is coming over so we can study for finals together." I told her. Rolling her eyes she sighs. "Ok fine but only Lauren." She says. "And if I catch you two doing something that isn't studying she's going home." I nodded "yes mom."

After getting dressed and ready I sat in the living room, in an awkward silence with my cousin Kehlani. Since we were little kids she's never liked me and honestly I never understood why so I always tried being nice to her and I thought we had gotten close so I came out to her. That unfortunately was a big mistake because she outed me to the entire family during Christmas dinner and we haven't talked since that day and it was five years ago. I mean she still come around but I felt so hurt and betray that I just couldn't bring myself to talk to her.

"So DJ how is everything? Any boyfriends?" She asked.

I could hear the mocking tone in her voice and it made me roll my eyes. "You and I both know that I'm not in to men." I muttered bitterly. Kehlani chuckled "oh I know. I just wanted to see what you'd say." She says. Before I could tell her off for being so rude the door opens and I'm saved by the pretty green eyed girl that makes her way inside.

"I'm so sorry I'm late! I completely forgot to set my alarm and when I woke up my parents decided to talk about last night and then I got stuck watching this new show - Anyway I'm sorry I'm late." Lauren rambles.

Seeing how flustered she was I couldn't help but smile at how cute she was. "It's fine babe. We have all day so we can just start now." I told her. She nodded as she grabs her bag from the floor and walks towards my room. I was about to follow but Kehlani stops.

"Who is that?" She asked.

I rolled my eyes. "Lauren. She's my girlfriend." I said easily. Kehlani eyes where Lauren had walked away and smirked. "Really? She's your girlfriend?" She questions. "I'm surprised Dinah she's actually cute and not some beast you found on the streets to bring home." I knew she was trying to get under my skin but I ignored her as I walked away and went in my room to beginning studying with Lauren. I really hope today goes well.

Laying back on my bed I had my text book opened as I read over the practice test it gave us. Since it was a practice test I wasn't aiming for perfection but I knew Lauren was.

"Babe this test isn't hard. You can pass this with ease." I said.

Lauren sits up and looked at me. "Are you sure?" She asked. I nodded "yeah. Take it right now." I said as I handed her my notebook. She nods and began getting started. Sitting next to her I also got started to the test from the book.

"Hey DJ!"

Rolling my eyes I groaned. "What Kehlani? What do you need?" I asked harshly. She smiled as she sat between Lauren and I. "Nothing just wanted to hang out with my favorite cousin." She said as she looks at Lauren.

I couldn't help but glare at her. "Favorite cousin? You outed me Kehlani." I said. She rolls her eyes. "That was so long ago. Get over it." She says. I frowned at her because it was obvious that she didn't understand the damage she'd done to me. "Kehlani, when you outed me you really hurt me. I thought I could trust you but that Christmas dinner made it clear that I couldn't." I told her. "I came out to you because I thought that we were close enough to where you'd understand me and keep it to yourself until I was ready, but you didn't. You took that information and told everyone as a way to hurt me and I don't think I can forgive you for doing that."
