You may never know what results come of your actions, but if you do nothing, there will be no results – Mahatma Gandhi

It was a clear, sunny day without a single cloud in sight – perfect weather for flying. Everett's tea was just the right temperature to sip on at intervals, and his friends were quite perky today, as well as the instructors. Even Felipe might have been smiling.

Still, it was a little irritating to watch Amelia crush on Jesse at RAF cadets.

"Jesse is very nice. He gave me a square of chocolate the other day. I mean, how did he know that my favourite food is chocolate?"

Everett was tempted to say that everyone liked chocolate but stopped himself. "Did you tell him?"

Amelia shook her head. "I have talked about my love of chocolate in Maths, though, so he might've overheard."

Her imagination seemed risible to Everett, who could see that this was a very unlikely scenario. If her Maths classroom was anything like his, no one could hear a thing except what their neighbour said. Besides, Amelia's voice wasn't notably loud.

"If you like Jesse so much, why don't you go over and talk to him?" said Everett bitterly.

Amelia's eyes widened. "I can't just walk up to him."

"How else are you going to get to know him? Telepathy?"

Amelia bit her lip. "You have a point. Alright, I'll do it."

This shook Everett out of his emulous thoughts. He was meant to steer Amelia away from Jesse, not toward him! Before he could change her mind, Amelia was walking over to her crush with a slightly pink face. Although he couldn't hear the conversation from where he stood, Ev deduced that Jesse was saying a hearty hello to Amelia, asking her about her day and talking about planes and whatever else he thought up in that charismatic head of his.

"Dude, what's up?" said Jade, who had walked up to Everett when she'd noticed he was on his own.

Everett felt stupid. "She was telling me about Jesse, so I told her that if she likes him that much, she should go and talk to him. She took my advice literally."

Jade face-palmed. "That wasn't your best move."

Everett watched Amelia and Jesse jealously, who were laughing at some stupid joke of his. "Tell me about it."

Although it made him feel awful to do so, Everett couldn't help but watch Amelia talking to her crush. Was there something that Jesse was doing that he was failing to do to have Amelia like him? Was a future relationship with him completely off the cards for her?

"Am I doing something wrong?" said Everett quietly, still observing Amelia and Jesse.

"What do you mean?"
