Anurag's POV

Finally Mr. Bajaj, that irritating blackmailer left from our lives. What a hell it had become for us, every day, every single moment...especially since he came into our Basu Bari. Uska kya haq tha humare ghar mein rehne ka, woh bhi mere kamre mein! Meri Prerna ke saath!

My blood boiled every time I saw that backstabbing idiot, the one who ruined our lives and made my Prerna suffer. It killed me every moment, itna dard hota tha meri Prerna ko us wahiyat insaan ke saath dekh ke.

Kai baar mujhe bahut mann kar raha tha ki us zombie ko zor se thappad maru, lekin maine khud ko roka sirf is liye kyun ki main nahi chahta tha ki mere gusse se Prerna suffer kare! This whole situation made me realize how much I needed Prerna, nothing seemed to matter when she wasn't there by my side as she used to be before.

Tab mujhe pata chala ki Prerna ke bina mera koi wajood nahi...every cell of my body and mind needed her to function!

I never believed this, nor could I fully comprehend when Prerna explained love to me with the thornbird story that day. Even that feels like so long ago. Back then I didn't have any worries, kitna seedha saadha sa tha main, zindagi itni normal thi ki abhi yakeen hi nahi ho raha hai ki main aisa bhi tha

Jaise tum keh rahi thi, waisa hi hua na Prerna! Hum dono thornbirds ban gaye, do do baar aur na jaane aage hum kitne kasautiyo se guzrenge. Itna gehra pyar hai humara ki kisi bhi situation ya koi bhi insaan hume ek dusre ke alag kar sakta hai!

We have struggled and suffered enough to be together! But enough is enough, I can't stay away from her anymore! The situations have been such that we have been made to hurt each other again and again.....only few people understand that our love is much greater and more powerful than anything!

I'm tired of living such a broken and meaningless life! Komolika ke jaane ke baad mujhe laga ki ab tak main aur Prerna ki shaadi ho gayi hogi aur hum bina kuch tension ke khushi se reh sakte the. Lekin dekho humari kismat mein kya likha tha!

We were forced to marry other people, shaadi unke liye sirf ek deal thi humko blackmail karne ke liye aur unke selfish reasons ke liye! Duniya chahe jo bhi kahe, shaadi to wohi hai to pure mann se hoti hai. Nothing else matters!

Only Prerna and I are meant to be! No one else can ever come between us, not for any reason in the world!

End of POV

Anurag's chest tightened in sadness as he thought about all that happened in their lives. He had wanted to talk to Prerna, but she insisted that she stay alone for sometime to mentally recover from the day's events. Anurag could sense how hurt she was and wanted to console her badly, but decided to give her some space.

He moved the curtain to the side and stared out the window at the moon. The moon was always Prerna's confidant, and had become Anurag's too especially in these trying times.

It was pouring heavily that night, but Anurag still wanted to feel the rain, wishing it would wash away all the pain. He slid the door open and walked onto the balcony. Looking down, he saw Prerna standing there numb, letting herself get drenched in the rain.
