Professional Idol group Quartet Night were training an Idol Pair, nameless for now, but the individuals involved were Masato Hijirikawa, and Ren of the Jinguji conglomerate.
As idols, it's important that they were well rounded in the entertainment industry. Acting was a big part of it.
As an idol, it wasn't unheard of, or rare to be offered an opportunity to act in a movie or commercial. Quartet Night agreed to test the pair.
"Ren, Masa," Reiji announced their names as he ran up to the both of them, the couple was sitting at a table across from each other sipping on tea, "As your seniors, it is our job to challenge you, and make you better idols yes?" The sudden speech made Masato feel uneasy, but continued to listen.
"That is true. Is something on your mind, Kotobuki -San?" Numerous times did Reiji say Masato could call him Reiji, Rei, R, or even Big brother.
Masato chose none of those.
"Well! We all decided that we would train you in acting." Reiji then ran behind the other members of Quartet Night.
"As out of this world it may seem, it is a very effective way to improve acting, and broadening ones horizon." Ai spoke up, as Reiji came back with six children, all around the age of three and four.
The children confused the pair, and so they looked for Reiji for answers.
"You see, us members of Quartet Night will take a few kids, and you guys will watch some too." Reiji picked up the darker skinned child, named Cecil, "Hes just so cuuuutteee! He's like a small chocolate candy." Reiji rubbed his nose on Cecils, in response, Cecil giggled.
That left five kids, and five people.
Ai picked out the two blonds. Ones hair curled, and he wore glasses, what for? Better not remove them.
"I have a instinct to pick these two." Ai said.
Three kids.
"Let's take the rest of them Jinguji, they've got three, we can take three." Masato spoke up, then noticed that two of the kids they were taking were twins.
One seemed very quiet and reserved, he stared at Masato with a nervous gaze, while the other pulled on his twins sleeve, trying to leap into Rens arms. The last one had gorgeous scarlet hair, a beautiful bright smile when he made eye contact with Masato.
"That settles it." Ranmaru bluntly stated, then turned around to walk away before Reiji dragged him into any early babysitting work.
"Good luck acting as parents!" Reiji then chased Ranmaru with Cecil, shouting at Ranmaru to be the father.
"W-where did they even get these kids?" Masato asked, fixing the children's clothes, "Anyway, what are your names?"
The hyperactive giggly one raised his hand, "Hayato Ichinose! My brother is Tokiya!"
"I'm Otoya Ittoki!" The redhead spoke up.
Masato pointed his finger to each kid, whispering to himself. He was repeating their names to himself so he could remember.
Ren scooped up Otoya, and hugged him.
"Well, from here until whenever, we will be taking care of you." He poked Otoyas nose, "I don't have much experience with children though."
Hayato pulled on Masatos' sleeve, "Do you like to sing? We heard from uncle Reiji that the two of you sing."
"We do. Sing along with us if you know this tune," Ren set Otoya down, then looked at Masato and mouthed "Do".
With a nod of agreement and a smile, Masato began, "Do, a deer, a female deer."
"Ray! A drop of golden sun~" Hayato joined in.
"Mi, a name I call myself." Ren added in with Hayato and Masato singing along with him. Then Otoya added.
"Fa, a long long way to run~"
"So, a needle pulling thread~" Tokiya chimed in.
"La a note to follow so~"
"Ti, a drink with jam and bread~"
"That will bring us back to dooooo~" They all ended, smiling at each other.
The three children gasped in awe.
"I remember that song from years ago. That's how I learned how to sing." Ren told them, Masato just standing and looking at all their smiling faces.
Masato then gasped and stood up, "Ren, I'll leave you with the little ones for a while, I have to ask Kotobuki Sensei something."
Without a moment to lose, Masato ran down the hallway.
"He will be back right?" Otoya asked, his small fingers pointing to Masato more than halfway down the hallway.
Ren picked up Otoya, and tapped his nose.
"I guarantee he will be returning very soon, come, we have to get y'all accustomed to the room. Follow along close Hayato, Tokiya." Ren walked with Otoya in his arms, then Otoya looked back at the now empty hallway, and nuzzled his face into Rens shoulder.
"Daddy Ren! Daddy Ren! Daddy Ren!" Hayato chanted down the hallway, grabbing Tokiyas arms and raising them in the air.
"Their birthdays? Sure! Hayato and Tokiya were born August 6th. Otoyan was born April 11th, but Masa, can I ask you to not bring up ANYTHING about Otoyans parents? It's a sensitive subject for him." Reiji held Masatos shoulders, "His mother doesn't remember who he is, and his father is unknown. Otoyan is a good kid regardless of his circumstances."
"I'll be sure to tell Ren as well, knowing him, he probably took them for a snack or something," then he began to mutter to himself, "Probably didn't have any greens or meats and he took them straight to dessert!"
Reiji laughed, "You fit the parenting role perfectly! But take it easy on them too Masa."
"I understand. I should get back to them before he gives them diabetes!" Masato then met eyes with Cecil, who was chewing on his nails. "Make sure you don't eat too many sweets, keep your uncle in check." A giggle in response, Masato left the room, smiling.
