Chapter 1
The Return
It was late that evening before they returned. I remember it as if it were yesterday. Jen and I were walking through a field that was full of grass and flowers. I can even remember the red t-shirt and blue jeans she was wearing. Those were the good days. Now, well it's like hell on Earth. But to understand why that is I have to take you to the beginning Right after me and Jen had that great night.
Scientists had been working on a cure for all illnesses for a long time before that night. However this night they would make a breakthrough but not the good kind of breakthrough. They created a virus that could be spread through bodily fluids. They deemed it unsafe for anyone to have so they destroyed it, or at least they thought they did.
The virus now known as Returned 0 was soaked up by the ground and seaped into the water contaminating it. People with water filters survived for at least the first night. The others didn't. Jen was one of the others. She died that night along with countless others including my parents. Sence then I have learned not to trust or get involved with other people just so they can be taken away from me.
