Xilinnayi Gao is a free soul, she goes whenever she wants. She stayed in Singapore, US and chasing her musician dream.

Xilin likes coffee, but not to the point she addicted to it but she can name and recommend coffee she likes to Huang Enru.

Xilin has lots of friends but sometimes you gonna find her alone in her own world writing down her mind into a song, pouring the idea so she can sing it out later.

Because, music connect everyone.

Xilinnayi Gao simply loves music.

Chen Zhuoxuan is a social awkward girl. She doesn't talk much, doing her own thing and stick to the thing she do, but sometimes when she talk it has lots of substance on it.

It's not like she doesn't have friends, in fact her friends are rowdy or even borderline chaotic Hu Maer looks like a trouble maker kid, Zeng Xueyao looks like a social butterfly and Lin Junyi talks like a chatterbox unless you tried to stop her. There was a time on college where she thought Zeng Xueyao didn't care about her, she saw Zeng Xueyao holding hand with other kids from music major Su Ruiqi, or sometimes hangout with Hu Maer doing silly stuff but turned out Zeng Xueyao write her a letter before they move out after graduation telling her to take care of herself, meet more people and be happy.

Chen Zhuoxuan is just couldn't express herself that much.

It was one rainy day in Beijing when Xilin was actually on her way to studio to meet Chen Roubing but rain suddenly pouring down and she has to find a place first for shelter.

"Damn! it's summer and raining?!  Is this Beijing or Wuhan? "

A Cafe.

Xilin rush her way to cafe and at the same time a girl with almost same height also rushing her way to the same direction. The didn't bumped but entering cafe with the same time and Xilin guitar backpack hits the girl head, Xilin almost didn't realize it until the girl winced.

"ouch! "

"ha~ thanks God~ ohh!!  I'm sorry!!  really "

"uh it's fine.. don't worry "

The girl smiled and it shows two dimples on her cheeks..

'how beautiful'

"Let me treat you, it's my fault i didn't see you. "

"it's fine really--"

"I insist! "

and they found themselves sitting together in the corner of the cafe near the windows. With one cup of Cafe latte and one Hot Americano. Rain doesn't seems to stop soon and they took their time to chit chat some more. Surprisingly, Xilin found that Chen Zhuoxuan said ahe is socially awkward and doesn't talk too much but here, somehow she keep talking with Xilin about any topic that Xilin brought up.

"Rain doesn't seem to stop"

"Yeah.. oh well let me just call my friend, I might not make it to the studio at this rate. "

So Xilin fished out her phone and start dialing only to get friendly yellex from Chen Roubing

"ACur!!!  Xilin where are you!?"

"Ice, Chen Roubing, Xiaobing whatever..  don't yell at me, i still need my eardrum thank you. "

"ok sure, so where the heck are you? you went back to Berkley or what?! "

"My God... I'm stuck in the cafe because of rain, i don't know if i can make it there, is it not raining there?"

"It is, but Feifei make it in time instead of you, you Sloth! "

"ppftt whatever, I'm sorry anyway if it's don't stop for hours, can we take another day for recording again? "

"let me discuss with Feifei first ,she went to toilet just now."

"Alright send my greeting to Feifei then! bye Roubing"

"Bye. "

Chen Zhouxuan still looking at the window and her hands are on the cup.. searching for the warm of her Cafe Latte in the middle of the chilling rain.

"Phew done~ where were we before? "

"Oh?.. not really anywhere, i heard something on your call. Did you went to the Berkley?"

"Oh that?  yeah i did, it was my friend from the school as well. "

"Ah.. i see. "

Silent, only the rain sound and two girls sipping their drink sound accompany them. The cafe also quite because it's only two of them and two baristas behind the counter.

"Hey, Chen Jie"

"huh? "

'Chen Jie' ...Xilin called her that, a nickname everyone gave her back on college when she talk about it to Xilin and somehow Xilin who is a year younger than her suddenly tease her but now hearing her name being called like that, kind of endearing to hear.

"if the rain stop soon and we have to go, do you mind if i ask your wechat? "

It's raining again in Beijing and instead of stuck in the cafe Xilin was sitting on her apartment window holding her guitar with music notes in front of her.. 

"Do you think about me,
Have I ever crossed your mind--"

"I do. "

Xilin turned her head only to find Chen Zhuoxuan, smiling at her with two cup of ...coffee... Xilin could tell from the smell of it.

Xilin smiled back and Chen Zhuoxuan approaching her closer.

"coffee? "

"thank you-- is it--? "

"Old Town White Coffee, your favorite isn't it? "

Xilin let out a small laugh and sipping her cup while Chen Zhuoxuan take a sit in front of her.

"You write a new song again? "

"yeah, want to hear that? "

"Sure. i like to hear your voice"

"-and i like you too"

Chen Zhuoxuan only smiled, two dimples showing as usual but it's never lessen how endearing it looks for Xilin

"Chen Jie"

"hmm? "

"It's been a year isn't it? "

Chen Zhouxuan smiled and look at outside the window

"it is. I'm glad we were stuck in the rain that time"

"I'm glad to know you "

"same goes with me"

"Xilin. "

"yes Chen Jie? "

"Sing for me? "

"Sure. "

- Even it's summer time, sometimes in Wuhan it'll be raining too there's a saying of 武汉每天都不一样 or everyday is different in Wuhan it's referring to the weather.
