Dear readers, this book is all rights reserved so please don't copy my book. :) I might be making a sequel. I will reveal if I am or not at the end of the book! :)

I had just woken up with a headache. I didn't know who I was or where I was. I guessed I was in a hospital. I had thought that hospitals were supposed to help people because I was cuffed to a table. Hands, legs, and my waist. All I know is that I needed to get out of here. Across the hall, I heard talking, but I couldn't make out what they were saying. I could smell all the dry blood and there were red marks all over my body. They were scars. There was something weird about this place. I didn't feel safe. I saw a clipboard on the table saying

Patient: Julie Annette

Age: 25

Gender: Female

Diagnosis: Depression

Now I know who I am, but that is the least of my worries. I also had a note in my hand. I tried to lift my other arm but I couldn't. I started crying, then I heard steps coming toward the door of my room. 3 people in hospital gowns came in saying "We're here! Are you ready to escape?" I was so confused, but then I heard a loud alarm. I figured it was because they escaped. I nodded my head. They had a key of some sort. When they had me we left through the window in my room. There were some guard dogs. Then one of the people I just met was reaching into their pockets. I guess that they were my friends here. They had everything planned. So I rolled with it. Then I got scared. I started thinking that the person reaching in her pocket was pulling out a gun. I started crying again, but this time was different. I kept it to myself. When I saw something shiny coming out of her pocket. It was a pistol. We were going to kill a bunch of poor dogs, and maybe a person or two. I could already see the blood.

We shot a few of the dogs, but luckily not a single person. We climbed over the fence and ran into the woods. I got a sudden chill in my back like someone was taking their finger and running it up to my spine. I saw that my friends were dodging everything and running faster than light. I tried to catch up but they were too fast. The darkness has swallowed them. I sat in front of a tree stump and started to cry. Not like the silent cry but the bawling type of cry. I was lost but at the same time, I knew where I was. I saw a person walking towards me. I had black tights and a black hoodie so I balled myself up and put my face to the tree. He said, "The same spot as always. Get up! NOW!" He hit me in the back with a whip. I sat still. He yelled and pulled out a taser and tased me. I passed out.

The next thing I knew some stranger was kissing me on the head. It looked like a nurse. I jerked and she sat in a chair. She said, "You need to stop running away Julie." I had asked her what the scars were from, and she said that the people around here take discipline seriously. I could tell that the guard that hit me has done it before. She also said that they couldn't find the others. I had asked her how long I was going to be here and she replied "The rest of your life sadly." I HAD to get out of here. Then I fell asleep.

I had woken up. It was three a.m. and I wasn't cuffed to the table. There was a note on the table it said

                                                                          "Runaway! Fast!"

I got up and saw the nurse from earlier in the window winking at me. I figured that she was an ally, so I got up and checked the room for anything I could use as a weapon. There was a small pistol in the drawer beside the door along with some black clothes. So this was it. I was leaving. Good-bye old prison.

I didn't see anyone on guard so I leap out of my window I saw one guard with a flashlight. My pajamas were all black so I blended in perfectly. I had found a ski mask in the drawer I found my pistol in. I was all dressed and ready to go when the guard looked me straight in the eyes. I thought I was a goner but he looked away and I knew I was safe when he looked away. I slowly walked to the gate and started climbing. They were dumb enough to not have electrical fences. When I got to the top I saw eyes staring at me from the woods they spoke and asked "Who are you?"

I got chills in my spine. IT WAS A LITTLE GIRL! She sounded frightened. She sounded about 8 years old. She walked a little more into the light. It was a little girl! She was in the same hospital gown my friends were in. She had a shaved head I could see just small little blond hair poking out. I said, "I'm your friend, I won't hurt you." She replied "That's what the bad guys who took me from my mom said. You're just like them. Stay away from me." She started tearing up. I got off the fence and hugged her. She flinched a little and then cuddled up next to me. The next thing I knew both of us were asleep.

I had woken up and she was asleep. my hair was a mess there were sticks and dirt all in my hair. All of the noises must have woken the girl up because she jerked back and punched me. Then she screamed really loud to where the guards started running towards us. I grabbed her hand and picked her up. Then I started running. She was surprisingly light, like a feather. She had stopped screaming when she realized that I was not a "bad guy." As I ran deeper and deeper into the woods I got less and less worried about the guards. Then a huge bright light stabbed me in the eye like a knife. It was super bright. Then I saw a place called McDonald's. I reached into the pockets of the black hoodie and found a large roll of money, a credit card, a driver's license a wallet, and an I.D. all in that one pocket then I reached in farther and saw a note. It said take care of the little girl in the woods if you find her I reached into my other pocket that was very lumpy and it had some clean clothes fit for the girl beside me. I waited super long until she came out in her Disney princess dress. she had a big smile on her face, then she frowned when she heard her stomach growling. She stated, "I'm hungry." For some reason, I felt like we needed to go to the McDonald's place for food. It feels like I've been here before. I felt happy knowing that I knew this place. When I went in everyone was staring at me. I guess it looked like I had slept in the woods. I put my hood on and walked up to the cashier. I told him I was hungry and wanted food. then he said, "Look at the menu then." I looked up to where he was pointing. I chose the kids' meal since it was cheaper. then we went outside sat down and shared the meal. It was amazing! We agreed that we would have this every day. Then we saw a drug store at the stoplight.
