It was now morning and the location of the theater was not so far. Zombies were walking from side to side in a slow pace, they smelled no fresh flesh so there was no need for them to rush.
You on the other hand, you wanted to find the theater, you wanted to find the person who needed your help.
With a two blades, one on either hand, you moved your way towards the location. The zombies went down without even knowing what hit them. Some when lost their heads others were left on the floor with holes in their heads. Usually, killing zombies could get a bit messy but it seemed that as time went on, the zombies because thinner. It was if their bodies were loosing their moist, they were getting dry, in a sense. Even so, the smell of rotting flesh remained but it seemed that it was normal to you now, as normal as to seeing bodies everywhere.
The location from where that theater was far and it would take you a day or so to arrive at that location but you were making everything in your power to get there as soon as possible. Soon, it got dark and you continued, tiredness was getting to you but you took only a few breaks to eat something and to drink something too. It was getting darker and darker until you had to stop. Surely it was important to get to them but the light of the moon was not enough, the buildings blocked any light that the moon provided making harder to see.
There were plenty of buildings that could be used to rest but you chose one that seemed to be secure. It wasn't a store or anything, it seemed that it was a small house with only a few small windows. The door was unlocked so you just went in checking around you to see if there were any zombies around. Surprisingly, there weren't any.
Shutting the door, you placed your stuff on the floor and leaned on the wall shutting your eyes. "Hello? Are you there?" the voice asked.
Picking the walkie-talkie, you placed it close to your lips. "Yes, I am here."
There was a bit of hesitation."Hello, I...I wanted to ask if you close."
"Yes, I'll resume my journey as the sun rises." Stretching, you answered.
"OK, Umm. I haven't introduced myself. My name is Elena." she waited for you to speak.
"I am [Name]."It was hard to make introductions. It has been so long since you had made any introductions. There was a bitter laugh from you but the other person on the other line did not hear you.
"I-" there was a pause. " I just wanted to ask if you were close, is there anyone there with you?" she asked when you heard another voice, this one belonging to a male. It seemed that he asked her something.
Resting your head on the wall and sighed."No,I am on my own."
Yet another pause, this one took longer before the girl replied back." I just-I just though there was someone there with you."
Why she asked that you weren't sure, it wasn't like you mentioned anyone else. You had told her that YOU were going to help her, not plural.
"OK." But the way she said it made you wonder if she thought that maybe you were incapable of helping them."Well, I will let you rest then. Goodnight." And with that, she let you alone, you did not even bother to answer back. Now that you were able to rest, you closed your eyes and rested knowing that as soon as it was visible you'll be on your way to them.
Opening your eyes, you noticed that it was getting lighter outside. The light was the only thing that announced that a new daw had started. Usually, every morning the singing of birds would wake you but with vegetation on and it rained once in a while, they either died or flew somewhere else.
Stretching your arms above your head, you took a beep breath and stood up. Looking around, you made sure to search for food and water and other things that could be of use. A few cans of food and about two bottles of water was what you only found. It was not much but it was better than nothing.
Once you were ready to head out, you grabbed your things and opened the door. There was a sword on your hand and before you were fully out, you glanced around you checking for zombies. There were only a few so it was nothing to worry about. Once you looked around you, you headed towards the treater and on your way, with a few swings a few zombies were left without their heads.
The distance that needed to be reached was close. After being close enough, you managed to get yourself on top a small building. Once there, you inspected the area around. Sure enough, the crowd of zombies around the treater was something that could not be ignored. The doors of the theater were blocked with what looked wood, the windows were also blocked.
Taking the walkie talkie, you still had it in the same channel, you brought it to your lips."Elena, are you there?" you asked in a quiet voice. Squatting there, you waited for a reply.
"Y-yes, I am here." She replied and it seemed that she was out of breath.
"I have arrived. Is there an entrance that could be used and is out of the zombies' reach?" she paused and you waited for her response.
"Yes, where are you?" she asked wanting to know your location so you were not going to be given any wrong information.
"At the front of the theater, I am on top of a-" you looked down and it was small store, liquor to be exact."It's a story, I am sure that you'll be able to see me."
You reached for your bag and pulled out some binoculars. There was some movement from one of the windows and a set of yes on you."Alright, there is an entrance on the back of the theater.Just make sure to not attract any zombies."
Placing your tuff back, you searched around and since zombies did not look up, you managed to jump on another building the same size and the liquor store. The rest of them were bigger so you needed to run fast and get rid of any zombies that blocked your way. Jumping down and landed with a small thud, you straightened and grabbed both of the swords the rester on wither hips. Guns you had, but getting the zombies' attention was not what you wanted. You ran fast, and hid behind a few cars that were and the streets and you continued your way like that.
Once you were on the back, there was a dead end and only a few zombies were there. As soon as they spotted you, they snarled at you. Rushing towards them, you slashed and no later than a minute or so, there were the bodies of the deceased on the flood. There was not blood left from the bodies, since they seemed dried as a prune.
There was a door on your right so that was where you were headed. You knocked and waited turning around to make sure that there weren't any more zombies. Soon there was a click and sure enough, a female with short blond hair and brown yes greeted you. Not with the smile greeting but the was the one who opened the door. She stuck her head out and looked around, once she did that she opened the door fully so you were able to enter.
The inside of the theater was dark but there were a few flashlights on which were surely held by other people. They waited for the female so shut the door and they turned around heading to what it looked to be one of rooms used to watch the movies. The inside was messy and some of the seat were occupied by only a few.
The girl who had greeted you stared and sighed, not with relief but with disappointment.
