One Year, Six Months, Three Days, Four Hours Later
The cars rushed rapidly as Jack and Diana tried to sleep through the noise. It was three in the morning, but this city never sleeps. The city where something was always happening; if it wasn't cars, it was probably music or kids having way too much fun. This was the city where no matter the time, the lights would still be ever so bright, and the noise could sound like something you would hear at a drum and bass concert.
However, it wasn't until the sound of a car alarm on the street below that either started to stir. Diana sat up first, confused by what had woken her up. Her eyes flickered to the clock next to her, and she groaned a sound of annoyance before falling rather clumsily on the pillow which Jack was half laying upon.
The room she was currently in was bare; they had only been a short time. While the wardrobe took most of the right-hand side of the room up, their clothes were still in piles on the floor. It was amusing when they tried to reach the bed in the middle of the night as they often tripped over the items lying all around them. Jack was undoubtedly tidied than that Diana, but they were both pretty much a disaster in that situation, with neither of them being bothered to tidy up after one another. While the plates of food would not linger, the mess of their clothes did. Jack's wardrobe was a little larger than that of Diana. They had entirely decided how to divide up the storage space.
His eyes fluttered open with the plop of Diana as her head hit the pillow. Half asleep, he did what he naturally did when she tried to get his attention while he was sleeping. He pulled her close to him and pressed his lips to hers. Diana, being who she was, would kiss him hungrily, the thoughts of anger leaving her mind as she climbed upon the boy she loved.
Although he was half asleep, he was a guy, and he wasn't about to push someone who resembled Diana off him even though his movements were a little sloppy. Diana took control as she had done so many before, but this was about when Jack began to wake up, and her actions left him a little confused. She rarely did this; she was the type of person who liked her sleep. The two of them had only been residing this apart for two weeks, and in those two weeks, she had yet to wake him up in the night to pursue her. He might have done that, but that was a completely different thing. He suddenly sat up; she restricted herself from him at a flaming pace; she sat on his lap, one leg on either side, holding his gaze.
