The white dressed girl woke up from her slumber. Her eyes still a bit puffy from forcing herself to cry to sleep that night. She woke up to the rays of sunlight filtered by the the leaves and branches of the tree.
Stretching both her legs and arms she quickly got into a sitting position, now taking in her surrounding. The scenery wasn't as scary as the little girl saw last night. Actually it was quite breathtaking how the the sun shined on the lake. She's never really seen how the mortal world look liked eventhough it couldn't be compared to her home it wasn't as bad as she thought it was.
She scanned her surroundings once again apparently there was a tiny golden box that had rose gold symbols and curves decorating the small chest. She probably didn't notice it yesterday because of the pitch black sky. Slowly, she opened the cute chest revealing a folded letter written in cursive writing.
'Dear A28, from now on you will be acting as a guardian angel. Since the shortage of angels you have been officially assigned despite your lack of age and experience. Protect and guard your selected mortal for as long as the timer ticks. As a reminder, you'll have to find a human for yourself before a week or you'll be removed as a guardian angel and casted out and be recognized as a fallen angel. You're forbidden from entering the pure lands before your duty is over. But if you do try, you'll be expelled for eternity. Carry out your task and you will be welcomed back. And as always a wish may granted for your service.'
She huffed out a sigh as she realized her predicament 'It's not like they ever liked me anyway...' She thought, remembering how the other angel's her age would discriminate her as she didn't have the ideal features of an angel. She had (h/c) coloured hair unlike the other long golden haired angels in her hometown.
"Maybe this is for the best". She mumbled to herself and sighed. She knew that most of the angels sent were because they'd become unwanted not because of some sort of shortage. 'They just want me stuck here....'
After a few minutes of contemplating she decides to explore a bit, she got on her legs, picked up the tiny chest again and started making her way out of what seemed to be a..... forest? She wasn't too sure since there wasn't as many trees as there would be in one.
Since her snow white wings were apparantly injured she couldn't fly and take a better view in her surroundings so instead she decided to keep on walking hoping just maybe she'll find a signs of human life nearby.
Ambling through the tree while admiring the scenery it was admitting 'Maybe this won't be so bad...' She thought to herself. She soon started noticing the trees that would usually surround her started to decrease. Making it look more open as she saw the ground covered in grass She could even make out a tree-lined pathway.
She decided to follow the pathway knowing that there might be humans there. She wasn't looking for someone to guard rather someone to converse with instead.
Apparantly the petite girl was led to a tiny area that all sorts of weird contraptions all in different bright colours. There were these colourful tubes that came from the top of the 'thing' and went to the bottom. There even seemed to be a yellow ladder that led to the top of 'it'. The little (e/c) eyed girl looked in awe seeing all the weird little thing the place had. She somehow had the urge to explore the weird constructions.
"It never hurts to try...right?" With curiosity getting the better of her she started pulling herself up the ladders climbing it cautiously step by step, making sure not to fall or slip backwards.
Getting back on her feet she soon approached the colourful tube she grew interest in earlier. She wasn't sure what it was for nor what it would do to her if she'd go through. Her head peaked through the little opening as she was now having second thoughts.
'What if it's actually a trap? What if they want to experiment on me or maybe worse.....THIS THING WILL KILL ME!!'. The little girl gasped at the thought. Well maybe it was a bit dramatic but from the stories they'd always tell her, she knew that some humans were vicious and merciless.
But before she could turn around and flee her potential death she felt two hands behind her that held her firmly on her shoulders stopping her from turning around. A shiver ran up her spine thinking that her thoughts were becoming reality. She struggled out of the persons grip but to her dismay she was quickly pushed into the weird tube before hearing the voice of the person behind her. "Oya?"
