I managed to get through the night without much happening, and before I knew it my alarm was going off again, ready for another day of school. I decided not to press snooze today, not wanting to risk another wake-up wedgie from Benny.
After eating breakfast and getting ready for the day, it was just about time to leave. I didn't even bother for the front seat today. Pretty soon, my brothers came out.
"Glad to see the dork has learned her place." Benny commented, causing both him and August to chuckle. I just rolled my eyes and put my headphones in.
Homeroom sucked today. I still didn't know anybody, and out teacher made us introduce ourselves to the class and say a fun fact. I always hate when teachers do that because it's so hard to come up with something on the spot. I just kept it simple and said that I played soccer for 6 years.
English and History were also boring. We went over the syllabus in both classes and did some "fun" getting to know each other activities. We also got assigned seats, which I didn't mind because I didn't really have any friends in my classes.
Finally, it was time for math. I was not looking forward to this class. I was really hoping we wouldn't get assigned seats, because with my luck I would be next to Benny or one of his asshole friends. Blake, Trent, Michael, and Dylan were all in my class as well, so the odds weren't great.
I walked in the room, and sure enough, there was a seating chart. I was placed in the front of the room near the side. Blake was next to me, and Dylan was behind me. Lovely. At least Benny was in the opposite corner with Trent and Michael. I took my seat and unpacked my bags. Blake was already sitting, and he muttered out a polite hello, which I tried to return without blushing.
Eventually, Dylan came in and sat down, talking with Blake about how nice it was that they were near eachother.
"Cece, this is just great! Now I can kick your chair all semester long!" I rolled my eyes.
"Shut up. Try not to copy my answers." I smirked, and class started. Once again, we spent the hour going over the class expectations and syllabus. Tomorrow we would get our textbooks. The bell rang, and I quickly stood up, trying to make it to the lunchroom as soon as possible so I could find people to sit with.
After a quick stop at my locker, I was lucky enough to find a seat at a table of some girls I knew from middle school. No more Benny!
"So how is school going for everybody?" my friend, Allie asked. We've known each other since elementary school, and we were sad we didn't have any classes together.
"Pretty good, I can't believe we're already in high school!" Samantha squealed. I don't know her super well, but I'm pretty sure she's in my History class.
"I know it feels like just yesterday we were starting middle school!" I said. The girls agreed with me. Another friend of mine, Lucy, was also at our table, along with Nikki and Megan, who I hadn't met before. Nikki was in Lucy's Biology class, and Megan was on the track team with Samantha. They were both very nice. We all talked and ate until about 10 minutes before the end of lunch
"Okay guys, I'm going to leave early, my next class is all the way on the other end of the school. I'll see you tomorrow!" The girls said goodbye to me as I left, and I headed back to my locker. I was just putting my lunchbox away and getting my books when I heard footsteps, causing me to turn around.
Benny and Dylan were coming towards me, both of them with devious smirks.
"Hey, sis. How come you didn't sit with us today? Too cool for us now?"
"What? N-no I just was sitting with some friends, I thought you'd be glad I wasn't there." I stammered as Benny got closer, causing me to back into the lockers.
