2. The Ants And The Snake

Story 2

A big Python lived in a hole. He used to eat lizards, rats, frogs and all other small creatures. He did not do any other work. By feeding himself on small creatures whole day, he soon grew big in size, but he lived in the same small hole.

The hole was so small that he could not enter into it easily. He got scratched while entering and coming out of its hole. One day, while coming out of hole, his body got scratched and he was vert badly hurt. Blood started oozing out from all over his body.

There was an anthill nearby. The ants got the smell of fresh blood and thousands of them came out of the anthill. They climbed all over the snake's large body and stung him severely. The snake cried in pain and tried his best to kill the ants. But the snake could not do anything, as ants were in a large number. They pricked him from all sides. Writhing in acute pain, at last, the snake died.

Moral : Unity is strength.
