Chapter 5

Arsela's POV

I gasped for air as I quickly sat down and looked around while touching myself... I had both arms, my legs were there and my head still intact... Phweeks! I was in my room and it was dark outside.

The last thing I remember was I was meters away from the pool in mid air totally in no control of myself and I was too exhausted... How did I come back to the ground with no injuries?. Yeah right... That's the work for my bodyguards, to ensure my safety right?. I'll thank them later but right now I really need something to eat.

I move to switch on the bed side lamp and get out of bed.. Yeah, I'm in my night gown.. I'm sure it's either Chang Mi or Yang Bao who did this but I don't mind... I look up at them as my big sisters anyways.

I put on my sandals and walk out of the door towards the kitchen. Ryan is there .. Few feet away from my door and he looks up at me excitedly.

"It's good you are awake". He says with a huge smile.

I smile back, "How long was I out?".

"Eight hours... It's midnight now". He says.

Eight hours?? That's really long.

"I bet you are hungry... Lady Fatma prepared some food for you... But she's asleep... Chang Mi is still awake though, taking her midnight snack". Ryan says.

"Midnight snack?". I echo.

He chuckles as we walk towards the kitchen.

I knew Chang Mi and Yang Bao ate almost all the time but I knew that they also had midnight snacks??

Ryan opens the kitchen door for me as I walk in and he follows shutting the door behind him. And there in the middle of the fruit basket on top of a stool is a small green worm...

Is that Chang Mi? Yeah, I remember Grandma saying that both Chang Mi and Yang Bao were magic worms but I had never seen them in their worm form before... Who guessed that they were this small?.

"Chang Mi?". I gasped out as the little worm made a hole in an apple while eating its way out onto the other side. Ryan was laughing hieratically behind me... The little worm stooped eating then looked at me.. I'm not sure if it was looking at me but it turned it's head towards my direction before a small light covered it and beside the basket stood Chang Mi with the apple in her hand. I looked at her still not believe what I saw... She was a worm... That small??? Where do her bones and all flesh go to when she shifts??.

I blinked twice... Thrice... She was blushing and her cheeks were fully red as she played with the apple in her hands while swinging from side to side.

"I eat extra a lot when I'm facing too many emotions and after what I witnessed earlier on I couldn't find any other way to put off the tension I felt apart from eating". She explained herself while finally looking up at me. I smiled. Ryan had stopped laughing and was now beside the basket himself eating an apple as well.

"It's okay." I say as I walk towards her and sit on huge island that's on the kitchen.

"I know you are hungry.. Let me warm up the food for you". She said as she placed the apple back into the basket and walked towards the microwave.

"Lady Fatma left your food here". She added as I poured myself some water in a glass and quickly drank it all before she placed the tray of food in front of me and sitting across the island thus facing me. Ryan joined her while taking an orange now and started to unpeel it.

Noodles, Roasted chicken, Roasted potatoes, Steamed cabbages and a vanilla drink.. Wasn't this too much?.

I shrugged and dug in. Who cares anyway, I'm hungry right now to watch my diet.
