Sin reapers

prologue: the beginning

that day..was both the beginning and the end..

of my old life..

And my new purpose.

Ryan woke up with a blistering headache which almost made his teeth clench

"AH!..."

The headache started to subside

"Jesus Christ, wait..where am I?"

Ryan stood up to look at his surroundings, which could only be described as gray nothingness besides a light from above which glistened in his black hair

"Uhh.."

A voice spoked behind him

"Hello pal!"

He turned around to see Gates made out of what looks like brimstone, he could also see he had a rusty shackle on his left ankle with the chains continuing into the gates

A decent-sized Demon looking creature appeared in front of Ryan

"Suicide ay?, what a independent way to go"

Ryan jumped back because of the sudden appearance

"W-What the hell?!, What are you and what are you talking about??"

The creature had a small smile on his face

"You committed suicide and that's a one way ticket to hell so.."

The creature claps its hands and the shackle on his ankle started to drag him towards the gates

"Wait! I don't even remember what happened give me a chance to prove to you that this is a mistake!"

the creature claps its hands again and the chains stop dragging him

"A chance you say?, I may know that you died by your own hand 100%...but something that I don't know is how far you'll go to not be in hell"

"What do you say on becoming a Sin reaper?..."

Ryan had a confused and conflicted look

"With all due respect. isn't it Grim Reaper?"

The creature giggled

"Nope! There is only one Grim Reaper. sin reapers are mortal Souls given another chance at life, but this time they must hunt down demons and send them back to hell."

"Oh. in that case yes! I'll be a Sin reaper!"

The creature smiled

"Glad to hear. I doubt you'll be able to handle them with your fists alone so I'm going to give you seven options"

The creature snaps its fingers, summoning seven different symbols around Ryan

"Every Sin reaper has to make a decision on which one of these seven they will take. I'll give you the short explanation, pride is a sword. sloth is a summoning tool. greed is a gun. lust gives you weaponized tentacles. Wrath is a scythe. Envy gives you claws. gluttony gives you hovering weaponized Jaws."

"So which one will you choose?"

Ryan looked around. cerious of the symbols

"Before I make any decision, I just have to say I now understand why you call them Sin reapers. Also, do you have the authority to do this? Like...Are you the devil?"

The creature gasped

"Oh hellfire no. in hell's food chain I am right below ol Lucifer, I'm kinda his right hand man. and yes. I did get Authority from him to do this to souls."

Ryan had a conflicted expression

"Okay..Wow. it's kind of hard to make the decision when there's so many options heh heh...oh boy..."
