I invited him in and as we were walking up the stairs, I yelled out tomy siblings that we were upstairs.

The all responded by saying that that's fine.

Once we reached my room, he took one step in and saw the drawing on the wall.

His jaw automatically dropped, and he turned around to face me.

"Did you draw this?"He questioned.

I responded with the straightforward answer of yes.

"Wow... Thisis definitely the best one yet".

I smiled at him as his response was sweet andgenuine.

"soooo... why did you want to come over?" I asked.

He just sighed andsat down on my bed.

"So, you know how mymum doesn't like me hanging out with you and your family?" he stated.

I justnodded as my response.

"Well, my dad doesn't mind me hanging out with you butmy Mum HATES it when I hang with you and your siblings" he continued.

I satdown next to him after closing my door and asked "Why?"

"She believes that youare a bad influence on me and that you bring harm to my family".

I questionedthe response but didn't say anything out loud.

"Anyway, her and dad got in afight and mum got aggressive, so I snuck out of my window".

I stared at him, withshock and guilt plastered over my face.

I could tell that he was on the vergeof tears, so I swept him into a large hug.

I reassured him that it would beokay and told him that he could stay here for the night.

I also told him I wasgoing downstairs to grab some snacks and said for him to pick a movie to watch.
