- Even a bad cup of coffee is better than no cup of coffee-

"Stop pretending to like black coffee, you're going to poison yourself stupid!" Saerin groaned as soon as Kairi turned on her camera for their face-time session, "No matter how great that guy is, it's not worth poisoning yourself."

Kairi just simply smiled sheepishly at her friend as she took another sip, and her face retorted into a sour frown.

Whilst she had been working on her essay in the common room of their dorm, where at this time no one was, Saerin had face-timed her to check up on her and because she was bored. She still had some time left before her lecture would start, and she decided to call Kairi to kill time.

Saerin let out a sigh as she knew it was a hopeless case and asked, "When are you going to show us your coffee prince? I've been curious about this male who made you switch from chocolate milk to pure black coffee."

"I'll soon take you guys with me, just give me a bit more time." Kairi smiled at her shyly as the mere thought of him already gave her a fuzzy feeling on the inside, "You and Ava are very capable of scaring him after all."

Saerin remained silent, even after her teasing, and Kairi noticed how the girls gaze was fixed on something beyond the screen. Something she followed with the intense stare of a predator.

"Hey, I'll keep you to that but I've to go now! I'll see you tonight Kai!" She had already ended the call before Kairi could even say anything, and the later could already guess the reason, "Her eboy lord must've arrived in class."

Kairi put away her phone with a chuckle and tried focusing on her essay again. Yet the more time passed, the less inspiration she had and the less she wrote down.

This had been a essay she had been struggling with for the past few days, and no matter what she tried she could barely think of anything. Something that frustrated her so much that it finally came to a burst, and she felt a tear drip down her cheek quickly followed by another.

"Geez, is this really something to be crying over," Kairi sniffed frustrated as she quite aggressively wiped her tears away, and continued to re-read what she has written so far, "Come on Kairi, you're a grown woman. You can do this!"

Despite her frustration, Kairi continued to push through until a hand suddenly closed her laptop, and a familiar voice chuckled, "Why is it that I always find you in such situations," and Kairi looked up to see Jaehyun stand next to her with a bag of donuts and two coffee cups in his hand, "Except for the fact that I now am bringing you a hot chocolate, and not black coffee."

Kairi blinked at him surprised, thinking she was hallucinating and stammered, "Wh-why?"

"Truth is, I saw you cry-studying and I thought you might need a energizer." Jaehyun shrugged casually plopping down on the opposite chair of hers.
