It had been a long and torturous vacation and I was so excited to resume my school activities.
I got up exactly 6:00am on a Monday morning in my underwear, it had been a long sunday,thank goodness it's finally Monday.
I walked to the bathroom,picked up my pink toothbrush,it's kinda weird liking pink as a 15year old boy,I mean everything's better in pink
After brushing my perfect dentition
Damn my teeth's so perfect,I gave a smirk while starring at myself in the mirror.
I took a quick bath cause I was so excited to get to school..now what to wear I thought..I picked up a pink shirt my mom got me for my 15th birthday,that was a memorable day
I rocked it with a black jean and my sneakers
Rushed downstairs expecting to see mom in-between the island making breakfast or something but for the first time in forever she wasn't there.
That was odd I thought
Dad! Dad!!
I called out,he replied me from the driveway "I'm out here Zack" he replied.
Where's mom I asked
He smiled and said she'd be busy today,he paused looked at me pitifully..and then added,now c'mon I'd take you to school.
I got into the car feeling all weird because my mom usually takes me to school,I must say..my mom's my only friend,owww yeah and Natalie too.
Natalie's my closestest friend I've known her since forever,we have lot of memories together...we learnt to ride bikes together..went to Summer camp together...just name it.
She changed a bit when she turned 12..my mom said it's puberty..oh well.
My dad was so focused on the highway I could barely say a thing.
I had to break the silence somehow,
"I never knew mom got a job" i said expecting an answer...but he didn't turn to look at me neither did he say a thing.
Finally we're here.
I got down from the car expecting an "have a nice day" or "I love you zack" but guess what I got??.."now be good,I'd come pick you up by 3"...I just stare at him till he zoomed off,I received a heavy Punch on my back,I turned to see Natalie with her freckled cute face, I gave her a huge hug.."I've been waiting forever for you",I wrapped my arm around her neck as we headed to the school hallway.
We both departed when it was time to check in,I got a new locker.
Just as I was about heading to English class I saw Emily *sighs* oh my emily,my biggestest crush in the whole world.
This one time I sent her a text asking her to go out with me,she printed it and pinned it to my locker, that didn't stop my burning love for her though.
She walked pass by me,I could smell her cologne, I think that's the closest I'm ever gonna get to her,I got to english class a little bit late.
"Good morning Mr zack",Mrs Beatrice said sarcastically..I gave a weird smirk as I find my way to the back sit "sitting next to your mom as always" doolie said and laughed maniacally.
Bell rang and it was finally time for lunch, I've been thinking about mom,I hope she's fine though.
I walked to the cafeteria and they had my favorite for lunch "Mac and cheese" I guess they made that cause it's the first day of school.
I tried searching for Natalie,but she was nowhere to be found ,making friends can be really hard,my mom said it's a phase I'm going through....I hope so though.
School was over,I waited for dad at the school gate.. exactly 3:00pm he drove in,he honked I was still worried about mom...so I decided I'd ask him when I get into the car, immediately I got in he said "we'd be going to the hospital" my heart sank into my stomach.
What had happened to mom I thought,I couldn't ask dad cause I noticed he has been down since morning.
We got to the John Hopkins hospital Baltimore...i was so scared to go in
What if mom had kicked the bucket?
I don't think that's possible,she was totally fine before I went to bed.
