We both walk into William's room. The curtains were drawn out letting the sunrays saunter into the cold room. There seemed to be more tubes and wires than I remember.

"He had a fucking blood pressure deflation the other day," Britney said releasing a shaky breath.

"Doctors say he might never came wake up and e-even if he did, he might always stay paralyzed and possibly remember nothing," she cried,

"He is the best brother one could wish for and I can't ever forgive myself for his state."

She went away from there before I could say anything.

I wanted to tell her that I had seen his spirit, that he always wanted to be there for her and never blamed her for anything. But I know only a lunatic would believe my absurd words.

I slowly walked over to him. He looked so pale and ill but still handsome as ever. A lone tear fell as I took in his form.

"Hey William, it's me," I said, my voice breaking. I composed myself again before speaking.

"I don't know if you can hear me or not, but know one thing, you can't leave this Earth. You wanted my forgiveness, right? So you have wait longer. I have to find something."

A sob broke out as I continued having trouble in speaking.

"And also, I want you to know that I-I got your letter. Just know that you’re also the best thing that ever happened to me. What you did is unforgivable but please, just wait for me," I stood up and turned to walk away but leaned in to place a small kiss on his lips.

"I love you," I gently whispered and got out before I would break down.

School was unbearable. The teachers were giving homework and doing nothing in class, the weather was already bad enough. I hoped Uncle could get the tickets for today's flight to Upland.

Jaxon had gone to Australia for Thanksgiving while Mikayla sat in the cafeteria typing something on her phone. She looked and waved when she saw me.

Britney's words were still on my mind. I had to ask Mikayla.

"Girl, where have you been? I was gonna stick posters for a girl with big, blue eyes who was not seen in over-"

"Yeah, I get it, I haven't been very active," I sighed taking a seat.

"What's with the long face?" Mikayla asked worried.

I told her everything about meeting up with Britney for our project and stumbling in Xander's room but didn't mention about William. She wouldn't believe me.

"But she was so angry at me, and when today I confronted her, she said she thought you sent me over and-" I sighed not able to continue.

"Abby I-I," Mikayla stuttered and fidgeted in her seat.

I remained silent as I waited for her to continue.

"You see, we were really good friends, and I went over to her house and all. One day, my brother threw a party and I asked if I could invite some of my friends," Mikayla sighed.

"To say, it didn't turn our pretty and I later found out my brother was harassing Britney since he had a grudge on Xander. I swear Abby I-I never knew that," she said sobbing.

I softly rubbed her shoulder, knowing Mikayla could never want anyone's downfall. Mikayla turned towards me with guilty eyes,

"I was there before my brother could cause more trouble but before long she got a call from police about her brother. Tha-that night Xander got into an accident, he was in a very critical health and Britney, sh-she was so broken."

I connected the dots knowing Mikayla's brother might have been the fucking Levi who was harassing Britney. Well, Britney did take some sort of revenge by bullying Mikayla and sleeping with her boyfriend. But I wouldn’t want to think on that now. All of this was very messed up.

"Mikkie, I just need a favour from you."

Now it was time.
