This All Started Because I Stole Something (1.3K special)

A/N: This is set in the same universe of the episode-inserts, but it's a flashback set before (Y/N) and Mao Mao started dating. And this....this is pretty interesting. I hope you enjoy!

"My home isn't the best place. In fact, it's probably the worst place you can ever go to.

But why am I here?

I'm here because I want my place to be a better place!

I want to one day start a family there and have a perfect town to live in and have great friends.

And yeah, I need a few supplies to get my dream started, but let me ask you this.

Am I really a bad guy?"

"Oh my gosh, that is sad! Come on, Mao. You can't lock her up for 7 months!" Badgerclops sighs, wiping the tears out his eye. Mao Mao stares down at (Y/N) "You ARE a bad guy," He growls, narrowing his eyes as he spoke "You stole from innocent Sweetie Pies!" "Please, they are far from innocent..." (Y/N) mumbles, shifting in her seat. "You stole from this town and it is my job to protect this town! I have to teach you a lesson! You are going in that cell and I'm not changing my mind." Mao Mao says, untying (Y/N) and walking her towards the cell. (Y/N) doesn't struggle or try to fight at all "Don't try to get on my good side either." Mao Mao growls "I'm not trying to get on your good side, Sheriff," (Y/N) sighs as she walks inside her cell "I told you, I have nothing worth fighting for. No one will miss me if I'm in here. I'm alone, it doesn't matter where I go or what I do." Mao Mao looks sad for a split second before closing locking the cell

"I'll see you in 7 months."

But.

That's not how it went.

~1 week later~

(Y/N) was sleeping quietly in her cell. Mao Mao would've thought she was dead if it wasn't for the fact her chest was still going up and down. "Mao? This is the 5th time you've stuck out to see her. Why do you keep doing this? You don't even like her." Badgerclops whispers, shuffling next to Mao Mao "I...I don't know," Mao Mao sighs "I'm just so interested in her. I don't even know her name, but I WANT to know it. I want to know why she's all alone. I want to see what her smile looks like. I want to know....everything." Mao Mao stares at (Y/N) with a blush on his cheeks. "No way....YOU HAVE A-" Badgerclops is cut off when Mao Mao covers his mouth "Shush!" He whispers.

~Later To Night~

(Y/N) yawns as she opens her eyes "Why hello, (Y/N). Sleep well?" Badgerclops says with an evil smirk "Uh hey....you..." (Y/N) says awkwardly "The name's Badgerclops, don't wear it out." Badgerclops says, winking. "Oh, hey Badgerclops," (Y/N) says, sitting on the cold floor with her legs crossed "What do ya need?" "You didn't hear this from me, but the sheriff is in love with you." Badgerclops whispers. (Y/N) freezes for a moment before laughing loudly "Thanks Badgerclops! I really needed a good laugh." She says, holding back laughter. Badgerclops looks at (Y/N) with a serious expression.

"Oh you're serious." (Y/N) says, looking away. "Yeah, he's definitely interested." Badgerclops says "How do I even know if I can trust you?" (Y/N) asks. "Good point." Badgerclops says, shrugging and walking out the building.

~ Time Skip~

"(Y/N)...." Mao Mao whispers, poking her. (Y/N) jumps and turns around "Oh it's you...." She whispers "Yeah, it's me..." He says awkwardly. "So what are you doing here, Sheriff?" (Y/N) asks "I'm just came to bring your dinner." Mao Mao says, handing her a plate "Thanks." (Y/N) says. Mao Mao stands up and walks out the cell, but he stops at the door "Why'd you steal the supplies?" Mao Mao asks "I already told you why, I needed them for my home. I wouldn't have stolen anything if I didn't need it." (Y/N) sighs. Mao Mao looks away from her before letting out a sigh.
