Remus p.o.v :
Who would have guessed Hogwarts top bachelor, biggest playboy, ladies' man, wouldn't take a date to the Yule ball? Not only didn't he take a date he didn't go. I his nerdy friend was stunned when I saw my best mate Sirius not go. But why? James and Lily went even Peter did. I didn't go maybe that swayed Sirius' decision But why. I sat in the Gryffindor common room reading a book on defence against the dark arts.
"Reading on one of the biggest day's in Hogwarts you are definitely a nerd," Sirius says with a smirk
" well at least I'm doing something worthwhile," I Reply
" oh yeah, Well I was asked to the dance"
At that moment my' heart dropped because of Sirius' reply.
" w-what makes you think I wasn't"
" 1) who would ask you? 2) why would you reject her?"
This statement felt like a stab to the stomach
" w-well why would you reject all those fine ladies who asked you? Eh"
" maybe I had my eyes on someone else," Sirius said with a flirty smirk
"Lucky her," I said sadly oblivious to the look on Sirius' face.
" sooooo tell me who did you reject, " Sirius said wanting to hear some drama
" j-just some Ravenclaw girl"
" well unlucky her"
This comment made me blush and buries his face in his book
" I-I'm going to bed," I say flustered
I carry myself to his room hunching over. trying to be smaller. Sirius stares.
Sirius p.o.v:
James, lily and peter walk into the common room and sit next to me who is staring at the door to the dorms.
" hey Padfoot what's wrong, werewolf got your tongue," James says mockingly
"I wish" I mumble
" wait, what?" James says in shock
"I meant I'm going to bed," I say as a cover
as I walk in I see my tall friend writing something
" hey moony " I whisper
" Oh hey!" he jumps and hides the book
" watcha writing? "
" Just some notes, good night," Remus says to end the conversation
I sit wondering what I was actually doing apparently Remus wouldn't simply write notes in his journal. I rest his head on the pillow still questioning what the heck is going on
I wake up at 3 am, I look over to James' bed but it was empty. Remus was adorably asleep I decided to sneak down to the Gryffindor common room. I saw a light and heard a weird noise. apparently I'm not the only one who decided to sneak down to the common room. I wish I didn't. to no surprise James' was down there so was Lilly which was a bit of a surprise. I turn the light on and yell " seriously I sit on that couch stop snogging " they sit up startled. they quickly run into their rooms. I decide to walk to my dorm and fall asleep.
