Look me in the eye, when you lie to me.

Those words rang in Blue's mind, as he sat beside Riley in the video games lounge the hospital had set up for them.

The room was gray and cozy. There were couches, beanbags, blankets, and throw pillows everywhere. Kids of all ages usually filled the space, but for that moment, only Riley and Blue were there.

"Dude, you lost like ten minutes ago, why are you still holding the controller like that?" Riley questioned, their eyes on the unfocused boy.

The two were playing Mario Kart, and Riley had definitely won for the fourth time within the hour, as the other boy hadn't been very in control of his thoughts.

"He irks me to no end. I hate him." Blue threw the controller on the couch, getting frustrated with the man who had his heart racing.

Pulling on his own hair, Blue got up and began punching the punching bag to the left of the space.

"You must really love him." Riley chuckled, earning them a glare from the dark haired boy.

"He was my entire world and then he went ahead and started using. After his second overdose, I had to let him go. He changed, and he broke me. This all happened after I was diagnosed." Blue sighed, telling them the short version of what had occurred.

Riley only nodded, realizing that what they thought they would eventually have with Blue was definitely off the table. It wasn't a secret that Riley fell for Blue; it was pretty much common knowledge, but they never really had the courage to tell the boy how they felt. And now, hearing and seeing Blue's eyes spark up at the thought of the new volunteer had Riley understand it might not happen.

"Maybe he changed." Riley finally spoke up, noticing how Levi did act with them, and how kind he was.

"Maybe my heart is sick of change." Blue wasn't sure where that had come from, but he replied with it.

"Then tell your heart to love the person it once did." The deep, mischievous voice had the friends look up to be met with honey brown eyes.

Excusing themselves from the tension in the room, Riley went to find Alex from down the hall. They didn't mind leaving the two alone, but they could see Blue's eyes lose focus when Levi entered.

"I can't love someone I don't know." Blue countered, his back leaning against the punching back and arms crossed over his chest.

"You're even more beautiful now than you were when we were together." Levi ignored his comment, stalking towards the chocolate brown eyed boy.

"We shouldn't be near each other." Was all Blue managed to word, his heart doing back flips by the millions.

"And why is that, Blue?" Levi's smirk was evident, as he took one large last step, smelling his ex's minty breath.

"Don't say my name like that. You have no right to do that!" Blue's eyes averted their gaze towards the floor, shouting at the curly haired boy.

"What do you mean, Blue?" Levi understood him immediately; he always said his name with a smile, letting it roll off his tongue.

"You're infuriating." Blue rolled his eyes, feeling his heart jumping out of his chest at the sight before him.

Levi Perez's smile was his reason for living for the longest time, and once again he felt himself melting at the thought of being this close to him.

"You love me and I love you. Why can't you admit that?"

"Because you left me when I needed you the most! You don't get to come back into my life, when you feel like it. I lost everyone and I thought I'd have you-"

He was cut off by the smile he craved attached to his own pouting lips. Their lips danced to a rhythm they had created long ago, with no indication of ever stopping.

"I was young and dumb and every day I regret everything I did. I still don't think I'll ever be good enough for you, and maybe you're right. Maybe we're not good together, but you're my heart. You're my soul. You're what keeps me alive."

"You'll have to do a lot more than kiss me and praise me, for me to think you've changed."

"So you admit you love me." The infamous grin was back, as he spoke to the younger boy.

"Go away, Levi." The amount of times Blue had rolled his eyes had him worried they would stay that way.

"You're missing me right now. You miss me every moment of every day." Levi looked right into his eyes, as he spoke.

"Levi!" Blue begged him to stop, exasperated with the nurse.

"Blue, I feel all that for you, as well."

"I don't miss you."

"Keep lying to me, baby, that's fine." Levi smiled, pressing another kiss on his favorite lips.

"You're a dumbass."

"I missed you, too, baby." Levi laughed, before being paged to go to another room.

"I hate him." Blue muttered to himself, though he wasn't sure if he believed that anymore.
