Chapter 23 - YouNow

Jack's POV*

Louise and I were going on another little date today as her and Gemma were leaving to go back home in a couple days. I wasn't prepared to let her go back home but I had to. It would be hard saying goodbye.

We were going for a walk and then to this fancy Italian restaurant in town called Trios. I'd never been before but it looks nice outside. I didn't want to make a big deal about it but I was kind of nervous. I didn't know why, I think it was because I knew I wouldn't see her again for a while and this was the last date I had with her to make an effort and make it memorable.

We were gonna go a walk through the woods where we had our date in just for the memories and then we would make our way in to town.

I was getting ready as we were gonna be leaving soon. Louise had spent the day with Gemma again because they had some video things to do. I think Luke was helping them film. I was so glad that Luke and Gemma were friends again but I did feel sorry for Luke as I could see how much he liked her. Hopefully Gemma would see how much this guy Kyle isn't good for her and not go on the date with him because it would break Luke's heart.

"You nearly ready?" I heard Gemma's voice call from the door.
"Yeah, come in." I said while I sat down on the chair beside the bed.
"Hey.." She said popping her head in the door.
"Hi." I said smiling.
"So, I need to talk to you.." She said sounding serious.
"Okay.." I said not knowing what to expect.
"Okay well... Do you think Luke would hate me if I did go on this date with Kyle?" She asked.

I wanted to say no so badly and tell her how she can't because Luke likes her.
But I couldn't... If I did Luke wouldn't speak to me and it wouldn't help anything.

"Well do you think this Kyle guy is good for you?" I asked her trying to persuade her that he sounds like bad news.
"Ugh.. Why does everyone think Kyle sounds bad? He can be really sweet sometimes and he was my first love." She said putting her hands through her hair in distress.
"I'm not saying he's bad, I don't know the guy. I'm just doing what Luke was doing, looking out for you. If you really want to give this guy a second chance then do it." I said.

She sighed loudly and sat down on the bed.

"To be honest, I really don't know... Kyle sounds like he has changed, and a date isn't that big of a deal, if I don't like him and he is still the same then I can just tell him that but I don't want to miss out on something that might be amazing.." She said.

I stayed silent.

"Plus, I deserve some love haha..I'm jealous of you and Louise and how happy you both are. I just want something like that.." She said laughing.
"Maybe you can, just not with Kyle?" I suggested.
"Jack! Kyle is the only guy who has been remotely interested in me, if I pass this one out who knows when the next time a guy will like me." She said running her hands through her hair again.
"I'm sure you'll find another boy, he may be more obvious than you think.." I said.
"Ew Jack, you're dating my bestfriend.. Don't come on too strong." She said sarcastically laughing.
"Not me! But someone else...just wait." I said.

I thought I had persuaded her enough to let this Kyle boy go..

"Sorry Jack but I'm not gonna give up on Kyle that easily..I'll text him now in fact!" She said running out of the room.

I rolled my eyes at how ignorant she was being towards Luke. Maybe she didn't see him as a romantic interest..just a friend. But it was breaking his heart.

Anyway, I was gonna put Luke and Gemma's problems aside tonight and just focus on Louise. I didn't have that long left with her..I wanted to treat her right.

It was just about time for me to see if Louise was ready so I went through to Luke's room where Gemma was doing Louise's make up for her.

I knocked at the door.
