                                                                       A Romantic Slate

Maybe the world chipped away to reveal nothing but dust

Maybe the roads crackered under the weight of thousands who passed

Maybe the ferrous struggled and struggled but turned to rust

Maybe the Sun went on but it had to set at last.

See the glass, so polished and bright

Absorbing everything and reflecting w' it's might.

The lesson to learn here is that

Never add lines like above to a romantic slate.

As far as relationships are concerned

I love thee like Sherlock, for John Hamish Watson.
