Can I Ever Put An End To This?

As soon as the clock struck twelve,
As soon as my eyes began to swell,
I began to search, was it only me that dwells?
- A voice came from the inside,

"I'll be shelved,
For the pain, I've ever held."
The reason, I never knew,
I have friends, and they are few,
The thoughts are frozen with a soaking dew.

I loved a soul like a fool,
I know it could never outdone, and would drool.
Expect from a wretch?
Better go find your match.

They say, I'm a flash,
Of my Mama's eye, my Papa's pride,
Though the heart-bequeaths can't stride,
The filthy faces and mistakes of mine.
The guilt and the repentance,
They come together and dine.

Is this the end?

Or should again I start?
And, this time, it'd break me apart.
The ways are out of directions,
And the days are dark.
Still, I try to have a fight,
With the beast inside.
And, be alright.

I'd always keep asking myself, "Can I ever put an end to this, by my side?"
