Chapter 3

"Slowly eat it" Mitsuri said
"My teeth are fine now. You don't have to worry about my eating anymore" I said
"Still, you have to take it slow" Mitsuri said
"I appreciate the food. It isn't everyday I get to eat your food" I said
"It's a thank you for helping yesterday" Mitsuri said
"You shouldn't bring that up..." I said
"Zane? Are you here?" A voice said
"Is that Shinobu?" Mitsuri ask
"Im here" I said
Then the door opened. It was Shinobu
"How did you know Im here?" I ask
"I really know Mitsuri. She probably brought you here after you helped her." Shinobu said
"Why are you trying to find me for?" I ask
"Talking about help. You and Kanao are following me and Tomioka on a mission" Shinobu said
"You and Giyu?" I ask
"A lot of Demon Slayers might be in danger. It isn't the right time to ask..." Shinobu said with a smile
"U-Understood" I said
"Let's go. We're leaving now" Shinobu said
"Good luck!" Mitsuri said
"Thanks" I said and left with Shinobu
"What's the Mission?" I ask
"A forest might have powerful Demons. A lot of Demon Slayers have been sent there and none of them seem to be victorious. We'll be helping them" Shinobu said
"Shouldn't you and Giyu already be enough?" I ask
"You and Kanao are going help secure any injured Demon slayers while checking for any other Demons in the Forest" Shinobu said
"Understood" I said

A couple of Minutes went while travelling to the Forest.
"I'll search on the ground" Giyu said
"Kanao will be helping Giyu. Zane, your with me" Shinobu said and jumped on a branch.
"Understood" Me and Kanao said.
I jumped on the Branch of a tree. I followed Shinobu from the back. She was faster than me. I couldn't catch up to her even how hard I try to go fast. While going deeper into the Forest. I lost sight of Shinobu but I still went the direction she went until I reached a location with a Wooden House hung up by web. Shinobu was already on the House. I went there and I saw a Demon Slayer badly injured. It seems he was poisoned.
"Your slow" Shinobu said
"Im not as fast as you" I said
"I taught you how to jump Branch to Branch. You should at least be near me" Shinobu said
"S-Sorry..." I said
"Here, use this on him. It'll stop the poisoning" Shinobu said and handed me a syringe.
"Got it" I said
"I'll go search for more" Shinobu said and went away.
"You did good slowing down the poisoning." I said and injected the Demon Slayer.
"..." The Slayer didn't say anything
"Rest. I'll get you down from here" I said and carried him down the house.
I set him on a tree. The Kakushi seems to have already arranged.
"Tanjiro...." The Slayer said
"Tanjiro? He's here? How do you know that name?" I ask
"..." The Slayer didn't respond
"Hey! He's injured here. Check him out" I said
"Understood" A Kakushi said
"Kanao. I'll go search deeper in the Forest" I said
Kanao nodded back and I jumped on a Branch and searched deeper into the Forest. I was searching for Tanjiro in the Forest. I decided to search on the Ground. As I did, I saw lights coming from the Forest. Flames. I was going to investigate but then I got stopped by Giyu.
"I'll handle it. Go search for more of the injured" Giyu said
"Fine" I said and went to search for more of the injured.
While doing so, I met Kanao again. She was with the Kakushi and they were treating the Injured. Then, I saw a presence of Tanjiro. Me and Kanao felt that there was a Demon nearby and we both went to the direction of the Demon. I stopped as I saw Tanjiro holding a Girl in his arms while running away. Then, Kanao jumped on Tanjiro and made him drop the girl. I saw the opportunity..
"Ice Breathing. Second Form. Sculpture" I said and created Kunais.
I threw it at that Girl but suddenly she shrunk into a child and kept running.
"Kanao chase it! I'll check on him" I said
"Got it" Kanao said and continued to chase the Demon.
I went to check on Tanjiro. It seems he just got knocked out and not badly injured in the back of the head. It seems he was in a cruel battle. Im glad that he's still alive. After checking in Tanjiro, I went to Kanao. It seems like Kanao had cornered the Demon.
"Strange." Kanao said
"Hmm?" I hummed
"She just ran away. She didn't do a single attack" Kanao said
"That's no difference" I said
"Your right. No need to ponder. Our job is to slay Demons" Kanao said and attacked the Demon.
I blocked the Attack before it hit the Demon. Then, Kanao attacked me and I blocked all the attacks and we both backed up from each other.
"This doesn't seem like what you would do, Zane." Kanao said
"..." I went silent
"She is a Demon. You know that, right?" Kanao said
"Im not into sparing Demons but this Demon's mine. I'll kill her with my own Blade" I said
"Isn't that a little bit selfish?" Kanao said
"I have other reasons on doing this" I said
"A MESSAGE FROM THE HEADQUARTERS!" A crow shouted
"BRING THEM BACK! BRING THEM BACK! TANJIRO WEARING A CHECKER HAORI, NEZUKO A DEMON GIRL WITH A BAMBOO MUZZLE! BRING THEM BACK! BRING THEM BACK!" A Crow shouted
"Are you Nezuko?" Kanao ask
"It seems so" I said
"You knew this would happen.... How?" Kanao ask
"It was a few days before..." I said
