5 years kol had been with out adalee and he hoped as each day passed it would get easier but it didn't the pain in his chest just grew suffocating him. His family were facing yet again another threat. The hollow. A formidable enemy by far the most powerful they had faced but kol once again didn't plan on sticking around as much as he adored his young niece he still could barley face Freya and Elijah he still blamed them.
Kol had gone to adalee's grave to say good bye once again as he stood infront of her grave he was reminded how much he loved her and how much she grounded the willy fox himself. After finding out the ancestors had returned kol was furious with nik for lying to him because there return meant he could see adalee again klaus had claimed it was to protect his youngest brother "adalee lockedwood has changed and not much for the better" were his exacts words kol of course had tried to persuade the newest Harvest girls to let him speak with adalee his bribe was refused as was his threats it soon became clear to him he wasn't seeing her again so here he was stood at her grave
The rose he had placed in the holder began to die its leaves turning black and shrivelled much like kols heart had after loosing his love he turned seeing the hollow in its newest body "I'm not in the mood for games witch" he spat "what it I told you I could bring adalee back to life" she replied a slight smirk playing on her lips kol stood frozen his brain barley contemplating what she was saying as he thought of adalee the witch lifted a knife slicing across her hand kol heard ads cry out "adalee" he shouted speeding to her when he saw her trapped in a circle her hair was curled and brushed her skin as pale as he remembered she wore nothing but a large blue knitted jumper "kol" she breathed when she saw him a smile almost spread on her face when she saw the hollow behind him
"Some would go to the end of the earth to protect their love" she spoke as she approached "you let her go, or I will rip you apart" kol warned "I wouldn't do that she and I are now linked" the hollow told him showing the cut on her hand kol turned to adalee seeing the same cut across her hand "so if you want to keep her safe then you belong to me" she added breaking the circle walking away
Kol turned to adalee who ran into his arms knocking him back slightly he lifted her up off the floor as he embraced her he finally placed her down his thumb brushing her cheek "my love" he smiled "we should get you some clothes" he added she smiled up at him "I missed you so much" she mumbled he lifted her hands in his "I missed you too" he replied "now let's go get that change of clothes" she chuckled kol nodded wrapping his arm around her shoulder

"Ads" kol called as he entered the church loft where he had been hiding her "I'm here" she replied walking around from behind the divider he sighed in relief "thank god I feared for a second.." he began to speak but she cut him off "it's okay I'm still me, flesh blood and alive. For now" she replied placing her hands against his chest his moved to be placed lightly on her waist "i promise I'm going to find a way out of this for you" he told her "she was powerful enough to bring me back from the dead, kol you have no idea what your up against" adalee argued he smiled his hand lifting to lightly stroke her cheek "hasn't stopped me before and it hasn't stopped you either me and you have a habit of getting our self in threatening situations" he smirked "if we get out of this alive and free this is going to be our last" she said sternly "I promise darling" he smiled kissing her cheek "stay here I'll be as quick as I can" he added walking out of the loft "what if we don't have much time together and we don't get out of this" she spoke sadly "loosing you broke me and I will not stand around and let it happen again" he said sternly "think about it kol the hollow needs to die and if I die she does, I can save everybody" she replied her voice soft "god dammit adalee it's not always your job to save every body" he snapped "what's the alternative you become her lap dog, you can't betray your family" she argued back "it's kind of my speciality and for you I would do it a thousand time, stay here" he replied she sighed but nodded "I love you" he whispered before speeding away
