Twisted Truth

Luv's POV:

Few months passed and I feel like everything's falling apart for me. I took an indefinite leave in the hospital, and almost thinking about offering Crisha the full ownership of the clinic. I've lost my path, hindi ko alam kung papaano ko dadaanan yung bawat araw. I haven't been seeing Dani, hindi siya masyadong umuuwi sa unit niya, I'm guessing because of work, or probably to just create distance. Kagigisng lang ni Sam, our routine would be her taking her medicines before we go out in the sun, get back in, eat, watch something. We don't even talk much, I honestly have nothing to say. I have become dead inside me, and I don't know how to make myself live again.

Luv: "Nasaan si Mindy?  Aren't you supposed to be taking your medicines now? Para makababa na tayo-"

Sam: "Bumili I think nung mga naubos ko ng gamot."

Luv: "You should have just asked me instead, I could have gone to the-"

Sam: "Uhm it's okay, I mean that's what she's here for-"

Luv: "Anyway, I'm just going to get some drinks sa baba, if you need anything call-"

Sam: "Luv, you always drink now- sana hindi mo abusuhin yung sarili mo-"

Luv: "Sam, it's my life, my health. You have yours to worry about. I'll be back."

Pag labas ko ng pinto, I saw Stella waiting outside.

Luv: "Hi-"

Stella: "Hello."

Luv: "What are you doing outside?"

Stella: "Waiting for tita mommy- everytime na susunduin niya ako, parating kailangan ready na ako para mabilis kaming makaalis. It's difficult, it's not the same anymore at home."

Luv: "Where is she?"

Stella: "Working, wala na nga siyang break e, yung in between takes, or shows, dun ko lang siya nakakausap, nakikita. I miss her very much. But I understand that this is her way of coping-"

Luv: "Stella I'm sorry- you got dragged into this."

Dani: "Stella-"

She looked surprised to see me talking to Stella. She tried to avoid looking at me-

Dani: "Are you ready? Naghihintay si Kuya Milo mo sa baba, let's go?"

Stella started walking towards her, she held Stella's hand and walked with her, pero biglang huminto si Stella at humarap muli saakin.

Stella: "Tito Daddy-"

She pulled her hand from Dani and ran towards me, so I took her in my arms and carried her.

Stella: "I really miss you, and I know that you are sad too. I hope you know that I love you, and that I'm praying for you and tita Dani to be okay again-"

I looked at Dani, and saw her wiping her own tears.

Dani: "Stella we really have to go, naiistorbo mo na si Dr. Luv, let's go baby."

Lumakad ako papalapit sa kanya para iabot si Stella. She's still avoiding me. She took Stella from me- but I still see tears in her eyes.

Dani: "Salamat, pasensya ka na-"

Luv: "Baby, I miss you. So much. I hope you're taking good care of yourself, and Stella."

Dani: "Sige na Luv, kailangan na talaga naming umalis-"

She turned her back and continued to walk away.

Hindi ko alam kung hanggang kelan kami ganito, but I can't let go of us.
