"I know." I sat at the kitchen table while my mom cooked dinner. It was Wednesday, so we had got out early and I was extremely tired.
"Well why don't you go take a nap?"
"I don't feel like going all the way upstairs, plus I'm hungry."
"Well the food will be done in a few."
"Ok mommy."
"You're such a baby when you're tired." My dad said, coming from the living room.
"I am not."
"If you say so."
I got the sudden urge to pee so I got up, going to the bathroom.
"Liyah the food is almost done, where are you going?"
"I'm just going to go pee."
"Oh ok."
I walked to the downstairs bathroom, closing the door behind me. I scrolled on Instagram, getting distracted and just sat on the toilet. About to put my phone down I got a facetime call. It was Clarence.
"Shit."
I quickly wiped myself and flushed the toilet, answering the phone just before it hang up.
"Li Li why you had me waiting like that? You know better." He answered, calling me this dumb nickname he gave me.
"Boy hush and stop calling me that."
"You gon love it watch. Why am I looking at the ceiling?"
I dried my hands after washing them and grabbed the phone, "Happy now?"
"I guess. Was you using the bathroom?"
"Yes rude ass."
"Ya hair look good tho. I fuck with the natural."
