-Destiny-

"WHERE IS HE?"

I woke up to someone yelling at the top of their voice and a lot of footsteps hurrying here and there. I rubbed my eyes and sat up, looking around. I guess the bad news isn't done turning up yet.

Rose stirred beside me. It took me a minute to remember yesterday's events and why both my siblings were at HQ. I patted her back gently to make her go back to sleep. I watched as Ed tried to diffuse the situation.

Wait. What was the situation?

Then a thought occured to me. I searched around the room with wide eyes but Chase was nowhere to be found. Zaria and Sim looked enraged and Mesmer was in the middle of it all looking confused. I raised my eyebrows at her and she shrugged back, shaking her head.

I gently laid Rose down next to Toby. She fidgeted a little but then went right back to sleep. I got up and stretched, then proceeded to understand what was going on.

Zaria and Sim were yelling back and forth with Sophia and Ed trying to prevent them from hitting each other.

"I told you not to trust him!" Zaria yelled.

"We had him handcuffed to both of us! It's not like we have a cellar!" Sim yelled back.

Wait.

My mind went into overdrive as I grasped the situation. I calmed myself by breathing deeply. Then, in five large steps I was behind Zaria and I grabbed her jacket and pulled her back, "Do NOT tell me he left!" I growled. I was deathly angry, if nobody hadn't noticed.

Her raging eyes found mine, "You ask him!" She yelled pointing at Sim, who was about to shout back when red lights started to flash from the computer systems capturing everyone's attention.

"AGAINST THE WALL!" Sim ordered and instantly everyone who wasn't armed pressed themselves towards the sides of the room while those of us with weapons, drew them out. I looked around in confusion. There was no invasion, where were these lights coming from?

Zaria raced to the computer system with Sophia getting off the wall and following her. They started yelling technical language to each other. The rest of us relaxed and gathered behind them, curious to know what the lights were for because they were never there before. They stopped in a few seconds and Zaria turned to us, "We discovered an old gas station on the road leading to the warehouse. It isn't in business but the CCTVs at the place work. We installed the lights to indicate any movement."

I glanced at Mesmer who looked uncertain about something but as soon as she saw me looking at her, the expression vanished and she raised her eyebrows. I turned back to Zaria still feeling a little weird about Mesmer's behaviour.

What was going on inside that cat-like mind?

"So you found something?" Sim asked with a bit of an angry tone from the previous yelling. Zaria nodded and turned back to the computer. Her phone started ringing loudly. She took it out of her back pocket and looked at the screen. She looked up, urgency in her expression.

I immediately understood who it was and it seemed, Sim did too because he dismissed the Rebels from this side of the room.

Ed, Sim, Mesmer and I huddled arround Zaria as she picked up the call. "What?" She said in a slightly snappy tone.

"Don't snap at me! Where are you?!" The unknown texter asked.

"What do you mean?"

"I told you the girl is at the warehouse. Why aren't you there?"
