THE LEGRANGE HOTEL-AUSTRALIA
"So Mr. Evans do you want to sign it or should I look somewhere else to set up base in Australia?"
"No, no. Of course Mr.Gregshaw I wouldn't want to let go of such a deal."
Mathew Evans hurriedly took out his pen and signed under the assigned line. The board of members would have his hide if he let go of such an important opportunity. Lincoln Gregshaw was one of the top ten billionaire of the world and he was sitting here in his imagine his office waiting for him to sign the deal which would help his hotel ‘The Legrange’ finally come into the eye of people.
"Very well, now I had better get a move on. I have already wasted enough of time today" said Lincoln.
Mathew blushed a crimson red. He had made Mr. Gregshaw wait for 10 minutes before seeing him, not deliberately but still he had got on the man's wrong side since then.
He stuttered "I'm really sorry sir for the wait, but if you could just spare fifteen more minutes I could give you a tour of the hotel."
Lincoln again looked at his watch. He was really not interested in it but he supposed as the future major shareholder he had better generate an interest soon. He had lost all the interest in his life the day he had hurt her.
'Shit!' he thought.
He had better get a control on his thoughts or he was gone for the day.
"Fine come on, let's get it over with."
Evans hurriedly got to his feet and immediately started rambling about the details of the hotel.
As they started walking down the reception Lincoln was unconscious of all the admiring looks he was getting from the female guests staying at the hotel. Bored with listening to Evans babbling on he took out his blackberry to check on the other meetings scheduled for today.
He was following Evans blindly, only half-listening,when all of a sudden his foot struck a bucket of water and sent the water sloshing all over the otherwise spotless floor.
"What the hell! Who keeps a bucket of water right in the middle of the hallway?"he shouted at Evans without looking at the now pale and scared face in front him.
Evans hurried to his side and started apologizing immediately and simultaneously scolding the maid for leaving the water bucket in the hallway. Lincoln looked up all of a sudden at the voice of the sound protesting that she had marked the hallway with 'keep out of the hall' sign.
He remembered the voice so well. It was this voice that had haunted him for over ten years.
"Analise" he said so softly that he doubted whether she heard or not.
She still looked as beautiful as she did when he had last seen her. Though now face held a kind of beauty which had not been there ten years back. Her greenish grey eyes held a pain which had not been there before. He knew he was the reason behind it. He still desired her with the same intensity maybe even more. She was a modern-day Eve-temptation personified.
Analise looked anything but pleased to see him. A variety of emotions flitted across her face but hatred took away the prize. This man was the very reason that she was here scrubbing floors rather than enjoying the lifestyle she was used to. Once just seeing him would have made her face light up as if Christmas had come early but now she just loathed the man.
Unaware of the tension between Lincoln and his employee,Evans thinking that the deal was in jeopardy babbled on trying to soothe him and did not notice that there was no longer anger on his face but a soft look had replaced that anger.
Lincoln took a step towards her wanting to hug her, kiss her, shout at her for being missing from his life for ten years but as soon he took a step towards her she picked up her bucket and mop and ran out as if her life depended on it.
He was about to go after her but aware of the attention they were getting with Mr. Evans having shouted at her and his continued babbling he stopped.
He thought to himself, pleasure filling every bone in his body-Run darling while you can because now that I know where you have been hiding for these last ten years there is now way you are going to escape me again.
